I remembered when in 1987 nehru cup, when Chetan Sharma was on 97 and match was levelled, that time Graham Gooch called all fielder inside the circle and himself bowled last over. Chetan hit boundry on first ball and hit his only century. That is called sportmanship of Gooch.

I would call it foolishness of Gooch. I mean by all means try to get opposition batsman out even if scores are lever, even if he is on 99 ,even if there are 100 balls to spare, but do it according to the rules.
