IT IS SAID THAT THE NO BALL WAS COUNTED AS IT OCCURED PRIOR TO THE SIX, DONE IF THE SITUATION WOULD HAVE BEEN SUCH THAT RUNS REQUIRED WOULD HAVE BEEN 5 & HE WOULD HAVE HIT FOR A SIX THEN RESULT WHAT MUST HAVE BEEN.

Only those runs required to win will be counted. Even if it's a six, it will be counted as a five.

There is no question in that case. It would have been considered as a six only since batsmen get 6 if they hit a six with 1 run to win. That is absolutely fine. Here since 1 was require to win and the no ball itself gave them one run, the shot was not considered. But there is something wrong here. The ball got counted as a ball faced by the batsman, but not the run. ICC has to amend its rules.

Your appreciation is appreciated. Thanks and wish you a very good day too.. BM
The team is as good as its captain and vice versa. So, to write off such action as a panicky or a spur, is childish. In Sangakara, the Lankans have a leader who leads by example. Randiv was not even a pawn in that episode. The (dis) credit goes to Sangakara who is a habitual offender as a keeper and as a captain. So, no tears for the expected result. PS: It was live when Sangakara even appealed for a catch behind the stumps, when the ball was running down to boundary!! So much for his cricketing sense.
The BCCI as well as all the other countries to see and view the video the particular over the unorthodox Randiv bowled. The first 2 balls were played by Sehwag and no runs were scored. The next ball Randiv took the step and before delivering he stopped and went back to his start up. At the time you can hear a voice uttering something in Sinhalese language. All the authorities show play the video and hear the instruction given by somebody on the field may be Sangakara or somebody near the stump mike. Then all the eleven players who were on the field should be called and the person to be spotted out. Then that concerned person should be banned from playing further cricket in his life.

Banned WHY? Even if they did deliberately its in the rule book; However I do beleive that Cricket is a Gentleman's game and should be played with some spirit. If somebody is not then people are there to criticize but you cannot ban anyone unless he break some rule.
ridiculios v indians should stop crying like these
y such hue n cry
there are others issuses for which v should panic n do some thing, leh is ruined, does some thing done, here 50 lakhs and corores are paid to cricketeres for wining n centuries, but just a lakh to brave soilders , para millitary forces who laid there lifes, pathetic, and inhuman shameful for govt and all

You are true; But only war does not raise the national image. These game are the peaceful wars and winning those does bring proud to the country.
whenever batsmen are on scores like 49* or 99* and scores are level, bowlers try to bowl a no or wide ball, its not a very big deal. actually its a shame for sri lankan cricket rather than a loss to Viru.
