Zaheer khan's absence has nothing to do with india's bowling poor performance. India won the T-20 world cup without Zaheer. When Dhoni's team won in Australia, Zaheer was not a part of the attack. It was Irfan, Praveen, Ishant and Munaf.Zaheer is a match winner but the problem lies in poor selection.
Ishant is a good bowler. But on the bouncy tracks of Australia and New Zealand. He struggles on Asian pitches as was evident from IPL and his debut in Bangladesh. He should not be the spearhead of the attack. Munaf and RP Singh did well in the IPL. But i belive that Munaf will be deadly in English conditions than on the sub-continent pitches. He is experienced enough to adapt. For test matches , i am suprised that in Zaheer's absence the selectors did not call senior bowlers like Ashish Nehra and Laxmipathy Balaji for the duty
Why doesn't he find more club level rookies from South India now? Thanks to Srikkanth's masterful antics at selection of Indian team undeserving players likee Abhimanyu Mithun, Ashwin, Murli are in the team. I will say get rid of this good for nothing selector and select the team on merit and not on regional biases ...
I think they should atleast play two alrounders. One alrounder slot has already been filled up by Ravindra Jadeja and now they must take Irfan pathan as well in place of one fast bowler. Guys dont take jadeja lightly, he is going to become an asset before the world cup.

I think we can look at Mr.Pawar,FROM BCCI, he could be of good use as an allrounder, Just on a lighter note
