The RCB team of the IPL thought they could do without their three foreign players who are also named in the other foreign teams participating in the Champions League Twenty20 2010. Jacques Kallis would be playing for the Warriors from South Africa, New Zealand’s Ross Taylor for Central Districts and Australia’s Cameron White for the Victoria Bushrangers.
Playing by the IPL rules, the team who wished to employ such players would need to compensate their home team by $200,000 per player. Unwilling to pay with such huge amounts of money, the RCB decided to stick with their England imports, Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan.
However, on learning upon the England players’ unavailability due to their national duty against Pakistan, the RCB have had a change of heart and will now have to strategise a new plan to incorporate the foreign players to compensate for their loss. Which loss is greater?

Morgan was very much in RCB team it was learnt much later that he would not be a part of the RCB team.......

Sourav was the best captain India ever had. He took captaincy job when India was struggling & built Team India as world-class team. Under Sourav's leadership players like Sehwag, Laxman, Dravid, Kumble flourished. Sachin found it comfortable playing in Sourav's era either.

MS Dhoni was lucky to have these Sourav's players turned-up matured.

On the spot dear. MS Dhoni is plain lucky to get the services of the likes of Sehwag, Tendulkar. I feel Kumble should fill up the third spot. Look what he did to RCB in the second edition of IPL. He has a never say die attitude, always gives his more than 100%

You feel sehwag, Dravid kumble flourished under ganguly, totally wrong, please go through history correctly. Drawid made a debut along with ganguly and was the established star by that time, kumble flourished very well under Azar.Laxman too was established when sourav took over. So he had the matured players already. When it comes to Dhoni, you want to use this argument that he is lucky to have matured players, I can,t understand, with the same logic, sourav had some fine players who were in their peak, like dravid.

Hi,

Janardana, check the statistics of Dravid under Saurav's captaincy and you will know the answer. You need to grow through the history. Sehwag was brought in by Saurav there are many players who flourished and got confidence to win abroad. Check the India's wining percentage when Saurav was captain. It is he who brought agression in the team. Who can forget the series win against Pakistan at their home turf, beating Australia in Australia. What a befitting reply he gave to Flintoff. These are still fresh in everyone's mind. Dhoni is very lucky to flourish under the players who excelled in Ganguly's Team. Talk about the team remove Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag the whole team will fall like a pack of cards.

Look at Dhoni he brings in good for nothing players like Jadeja, Yuvraj even though they dont perform. Everyone remembers he defended Jadeja all the time. What have been his contributions in wining the matches? How many times has he won man of the match awards? He was himself brought in by Ganguly.

Can increase the aggression in the team and reduce politics. Dhoni is good and aggressive but brings in lot of favoritism and politics.

Dada is truly great. Dhoni is indeed a politician. He brings in Ashish Nehra, Ishant Sharma his favorite and sidelines Irfan Pathan who is by any chance better than them.
It was Ganguly who got Sehwag in his team in spite having poor form and got confidence in him. It he who made Rahul Dravid the wall. Check the scores how Rahul Dravid performed when he used Rahul Dravid as wicketkeeper and batsman. It was he who had blend of younsters adn seniors. It is he who has brought agression to Indian team. The "will" to win abroad. What we are seeing today are the fruits sowed by this great man. The trio "Ganguly, Tendulkar & Dravid" are indeed the pillars.
