Now then....!!! People watch the IPL matches as of they are watching a movie. Nothing more, nothing less. The great game of Cricket became victimised in the name of IPL. Nothing but money is the only thing that matters. One simple example. There is a big bull named Andrew Symonds. He was racially abused and protraite as a villain by each and every Tom, Dick and Harry in India, following the 'Monkeygate'. Yet, he was bought by the Deccan Chargers for a fortune, and Symonds had no second thoughts in accepting the offer to play in India in front of his tormentors. And please don't get any wise ideas that he likes India. Same is the case with another thug-Mathew Hayden who once drew much wrath for his comments on India being a third world nation. Gilchrist criticized Sachin in his book, yet he is the most popular player in IPL-3. In the end...it comes to this. As they say,... IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA..!!!
Kapil dev has given the idea of IPL by starting ICL.Modi copied(stolen)the idea since they have money,power,resources nd well established set up to cut kapil out of the picture..i feel sad that no one is talking abt our great all rounder kapil who has given this concept

Agree with you.Apart from Kapil, contributions to Indian cricket from Mohinder Amarnath also not acknowledged, and he is also sidelined

Well there are wrongs in every region, south india too has witnessed all the crimes. The Satyam fiasco, ramalingam raju, bangarappa, Veerappan, Prabhakaran are just a few examples. Kerala and Karnataka, and Hyderabad are the terror hubs with most of the local terror groups like Indian Mujahideen and SIMI. Few bad ppl dont make the whole of region a bad place.
