Nita Ambani when told by Bravo(windies player) about kevin pollard ,she bid for him with a good auction price

Preity Zinta is a good heart likewise Ravi Boppara was invited .

Shipla Shetty was always in touch with Shane Warne during the ausction process when picking players.
Does it not prove how consultative they were ,does it not prove they accomodated everyone from all cricket playing nations including Bangladeshi players .
Good security (layers of it ) was provided in a country that has 1 billion plus people
We all the fans ask all players to please restrain from giving statements and let things settle down .Let things that happen between the board and modi be treated as a India internal matter .I urge media to give a break(like a movie interval atleast).
I also Urge Indian Authorities to handle this with care .
Kapil ,Chetan Chauhan,Kirti Azad ,patuadi are all there please consult them as well(BCCI) in the meeting and formulate the next .
steps this is my request. If at all anyone feels it will be the Indian Cricket Fan.

Cricket/cricketers made a pawn in the hands of rich..
by Rajesh Shetty on Apr 29, 2010 02:09 PM

Thhe point is not abt Hussain or Chappell here, the West, or about their humility. Its still better to look in the mirror and find out what IPL is really all about. If its really just a cricket tournament, nobody will have any objection to it, just as so many other tournaments are run in the country. But there cricket was being sacrificed at the altar of business interests, the whole BCCI had been hijacked, the players reduced to pawns in the hands of businessmen. Do u know that a rule was made mandatory by Modi that the post-match party has to be compulsorily attended by the cricketers ? The day will not be far when people like Mallya will ask Dravid to sleep with some model of his, to serve his business interests or whatever. And if it was really about cricket, then how come ICL players were blacklisted ? Y that tournament was not recognised by BCCI ?

re: Indians are good lovers of cricket please do not take that In
by rama anne on Apr 29, 2010 01:59 PM  | Hide replies

Hi All
One fact is
1.Indians and india play a major part in cricket especially the fans ,Brett Lee ,Adam Gilchrist ,Mcgrath all acted in Advertisements.
Even when Vivian Richards was playing Indian Textile major shot an ad that had Ravi Shastri ,Richards (cannot remember others) in a frame for Raymond suitings.

2.Indian Hosipitality during IPL (all verions was very good) all the IPL Owners Nita Ambani,Shilpa,Preity Zinta went out of their way to make all players comfortable.

3.When security concerns were raised best of security was provided ,if it all someone injured (bangalore incident) it was Ordinary good sports loving Indian fans(one serious).

4.Yes certain undesired elements take advantage when money can be earned like betting etc ,but they should be cleaned up All Indian fans like myself want that to happen .

5.But simply making wild accusations "27 players including a high profile australian player involved in match fixing" is a rumour and denied by Indian Authorities .
Please bear in mind Fans and wait for things to settle down ,everyone adding their own spice makes more rumours and makes us grieve and heave like a roller coaster.

6.So all the western players dont jump into fray immediately and add your own spice let things settle down ,action will be taken ,already there is a new chief etc.

7.I also appeal to Indian authorities to for go ego and power struggle please act in a way sanctity of the game ,Indias reputati

IPL become sucessful
by hanumantha rao on Apr 29, 2010 01:57 PM

IPL purely a Indian cricket with foreign masala. most of the foreign cricket team have not happy with IPL growth and also against the IPL success. Time to time there are criticizing, actually there waiting for the opportunity to bring Down the IPL event. Now they got golden opportunity to criticize, sine modi done all type of corruption & irregularity.
IPL will never become failure, always become big successes until our indian economy is good. Who ever is running the IPL show is not at all the matters. Only cricket in Indian become always successful only

Typical English mentality!
by sandeep kumar on Apr 29, 2010 01:53 PM  | Hide replies

IPL was well on its way to become the best league in the world, better than even Englands hyped EPL. Lalit modi did a rocking job, and these english and aussies started feeling jealous, since their county cricket and KFC bash are of really low standard. So now everyone starts writing negative, when nothing has been proved against modi. I am sure he ll be back and head IPL4 which will be bigger and better than anything shown by England. People like atherton, hussain, chappel bros need to be taught a lesson in humility

Totally agree with Rajesh here....and don't even compare EPL with IPL ...That is a totally different ball-game, quite literally ! Even though much bigger bigger money is involved in EPL, the sport (football) is still respected. Goals are not called 'Karbon Kamaal Goals' and there are no City moments of Successes or artificial huddles or cheer-leaders or interviews with players whilst they are on the pitch playing. Sport has the first priority.

re:English please do not be sour
by rama anne on Apr 29, 2010 01:47 PM

hi English guys
1. IPL allowed Andrew Flintoff,Kevin Peterson ,Paul Collingwood to play besides players from windies, australia, south africa ,srilanka, pakistan(played in ipl 1 and 2 versions),Bagladesh etc.

2.Please ask how good accomodation was provided ,laundry ,food and not to mention that caring Indain Hosipitality Nita Ambani owner of mumbai indians went out of her way to make all arrangements and make it comnfortable.
Sananth Jayasurya acknowledged that they were looked after well
Contrast this with the Sub Continent teams visting Australia(media tales about Srilankans when Rantunga were very bad taste).
But if you look very carefully ,dean jones ,steve waugh were invited on NDTV (interviews, presentation),kevin peterson was asked good questions by curious Indian sports lovers.Brett Lee ,Adam Gilchrist acted in advertisements .Have you seen any Advertisements about Indian players in Australia,England forget it ,they would not give you a role in a drama ,there was a guy called Nicholos Brown(half Indian ,half anglo saxon),he is born in australia, he struggled a lot gave up packed his bags and came to mumbai and got a break in hindi movie starring along with Hristhik Roshan(Kites movie) ask him his experience I have an excerpt of his interview I can post it here .

3.Indians are true lovers of cricket along with similar lovers elsewhere.take my case
when pakistan toured australia last summer I bought tickets for test and ODI at sydney.

re:Jealousy ,hatred, power struggle were part of IPL from begining
by rama anne on Apr 29, 2010 01:29 PM  | Hide replies

Hi Guys
1. I do not know about corruption etc as official probe has to be done by the authorities .

2.From the beginning certain quarters of Cricket establishments feel IPL has generated lots of revenues and they cannot share the spoils especially in the western world.

3.They want some say in its administration ,share revenues (they know it has plenty of money).they feel Indians have organised the IPL ,but what they are missing is ,it is purely Indian money as franchises are owned by Indian Nationals(or NRIS remember Indian govt has relaxed rules for NRIS to invest in India). This has led to jealousy outside India ,and they had been waiting for an opportunity all the while ,it was a perfect time to add their voice as Tharoor vs Modi saga has been lapped up by Indian media (especially NDTV and other newspapers in India ).Later it became a sensitive debate in Indian parialment, now is the perfect time for all the elements who are jealous of IPL succuss to add more rumours to it First
it was match fixing and it said a total of 27 players ,including an high profile australian player no one knows how it originated later Indain authorites dismissed it ,but western media already latched on it with both hands.

4.Having lived in western countries I know for sure the logic here is if you cannot break it or compete with it in a legal way ,one can break it using media ,pressure tactics they even say break it mentally ,they say it is mental strength
