what modi did in three years, these guys will take 10 to achieve the same thing. you need to have some real management skills to generate so much success so soon. And to have that one will need to twist things a bit to make ends meet.

to that ends its the end that matters and not the means.

I doubt the credentials of BCCI sans Modi to get IPL bigger. Modi could see opportunity whereever it was and seize it. Doubt the present bunch.

I care not for transparency. As far as IPL is generating business in india, it will create more secondary employment, a boost to Tourism and aviation sector and advertisin industry. It will make India a super power in cricket... and contribute positively to GDP.

Thats what I care about.. transparency go to hell.

Whose GDP????? India lost so much on Tax from these franchisee and on top of that each state gave tax exemption and free policy security to IPL. I agree it created Jobs but the tax losses exceeds too much to be compared. I dont blame Modi but the the entire IPL governing body and Government itself for letting it slip through.
By the way I am big fan of IPL and want it to go on..

making big
by aravamudhan gopalaswamy on Apr 27, 2010 09:55 PM  | Hide replies

people can now talk about making big because it has already been made big big big......in the shortest time.Better you run it as it is . no need for xtra effort.can you give excellent reception to the public at the entrance, give free drinks , eatables etc without charging xtra, can you give assurance that even the type of incidence that took plce in bangalore will not occur, can you give accounts for each & every paise ipl and bccci earns, can you provide excellent practice facilities one or 2 months in advance to all,

leave all these things. Not linking modi issue whether any of the board members/majority of ipl councilmembers attended the function as well the final till the end.is this the respect you are all giving to the game & to the players. THESE players gave their life & entertainment to the public for 2 months. BUT there are treated as servants.BUt where as we public thronged to the stadium &. encoursged themit is a shame on all of you.i can also come & talk bigger than this.

Any way are going to see every thing .
all the best for you.

The show must go on!!!

There is talk going on in the country asking for a ban on IPL. This is a ridiculous suggestion.

Just because some behind the scenes manipulations occured the poor common man of India who enjoys the game of cricket to forget his daily woes should not be punished.

After all this is one of indians rare experience of joy.Millions of indians watched ipl with passion, peopel glued to tvs to watch these games even on road side TV sets.

Punish the guilty who ever it is. But the game should go on and indians or for that matter cricket lovers across the world should not be deprived of enjoyong the game.

Dear Amin,
If you have shame or sense please reinstall Lalit Modi.
What corruption he has done? or I will say what "extra" corruption he has done what some one else also would have done?

I din't like the way he is sacked.

Transparent??? impossible.. BCCI had never been transparent..U removed AZAR and SRIKANTH uncermoniously without any reason and explanation..so dont talk bull shit AMIN..

AZAR is having a nice time with Sangeetha let us not pull him here.SRIKANTH is not a person who waits for others to remove him.In cricket as well as in real life he use to give a good smacking before being retired hurt
