Then based on the player performances, let the IPL body pay the maximum amount to the max run getter, max wicket taker etc...
That would ensure performance based pay instead of the

Hi NC...nice suggestion...but the problem with that is, even in a scenario where fast scoring is required, batsmen could try to get a higher score, by playing slow and safe..

>> White dresses for all the players.
>> The matches will begin at 9 AM and shop will be closed by 3 PM.
>> All cheer leaders will be wearing saree and high neck blouse.. they will sing the team anthem when there is a four or six.. no dances anymore.
>> Retired Air India hostesses are being hired for cheerleading.
>>Every six will fetch the player Rs 101/-, fours Rs 51/-.
>> Winners of the final will get Rs 1111/- and runner up Rs 555/-
>> Frachise owners will have to do item number after the team wins. Thus saving money.

They are going to do one better for you, Robin. They will scrap the whole IPL!! They have no documents, contracts, knowledge, guts, common sense and anything else remotely associated to humanity. Manohar says it is not their job, which means they have no intention of developing any smarts either.

Smart guy, manohar. Tomorrow if anything goes wrong in IPL, then he can blame amin and say they were not aware. Lol. Was it not the same person who, in order to get at dalmiya through ganguly prepared a bouncy track at nagpur against australia which enabled the aussies to win the match?

IPL T20 IS NOT A CRICKET GAME
by NIRMALENDU PAL on Apr 27, 2010 10:22 PM  | Hide replies

IT IS JUST A GAMMLING NOT A CRICKET. RICH PEOPLE R MAKING FOOLS THE YOUTHS OF THE COUNTRY& ROBBING MONEY FROM THEM IN THE NAME OF GAMES & BECOMING RICHER UNETHICALLY. MINISTERS R ALSO INVOLVED IN THIS ILLEGAL GAME.
GOVT. IS WEAK IN ADMINISTRATION SO CORRUPTIONS R RAMPHANT . NATIONAL PLAYERS LIKE SACHIN TENDULKAR, RAHUL DRAVID, M.S.DHONI ETC.SHOULD NOT TAKE PART IN THIS SORT OF GAMBLING. THEY R THE IDOLS OF YOUTH SO THEY SHOULD TAKE SOME HARSH DECISION FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE SOCIETY & THE CRICKET AS A GAME.

Stop thinking that money is dirty. Without money there cannot be excellence. Look at all the leagues all over the world like NFL, EPL etc. Please dont think that people will come with charity mindset and play for the love of the game, it beats common economic sense. Agree that accountability should be there but otherwise there is nothing wrong with money.

Chirayu Amin the new IPL Chief
by Ramakrishnapillai Nair on Apr 27, 2010 10:22 PM  | Hide replies

He is clean unlike Modi. There is lot of cleaning work for Chirayu to do. We need to know who are the real owners of the Franchises and just not the filmi benamis. We don't want the cheerleaders,it won't fit the game of cricket. I am writing this from USA where NBA and NFL and college and school teams have cheerleaders. It fits all these games but it is misfit for cricket. Also stop the after game IPL parties.
