the difference is that in North only netas are corrupt. In Maha/Gujrat even the common man is corrupt.

You may not take as granted only NCP/Congress are in this scan. there are also other politicians like BJP also there. So before making all inquiries every politicians and burecards are ready for facing the realities. donot blam only NCP/congress.
This time they will make sure that the team owned by BCCI treasurer N Srinivasan wins...first time it was Lalit Modi's team that won with a bunnch of nobodies...last season they tried their best to accomodate chennai team but Blr and Hyd were too good...look at Rajasthan Royals...they have been crap since the first edition...this IPL is a fixed tourney and only BCCI stakeholders are enjoying the loot...high time to put an end to such a fixed tournament. Hope Sachin ensures that Chennai is not able to win and thus fixing is not given a chance in IPL.
black money in swiss bank, in bollywood and not to purchase girls in cricket. All political parties got the benifits from this underworld players. It is just show off from these parties that they are opposing ipl scam. Each new building devloped/redevloped in cities are based on corruption. builders scam in much more bigger than this scam
Dear Sachin ,why donot you take up ipl commissioners job, as the next logical step to have a clean conflict free corruption free tournament. Then the tournament will hit the sun.

Abe Sale Then who will play cricket,We want SACHIN as a Cricketer than anything else[Comissioner,cm,governer, president]
He has not expressed any support for the controversial figures of IPL (Modi, Tharoor etc). All that he has said that he thinks IPL will overcome this crisis.
I ask those who are attacking Sachin to point out, without in prescise terms, what is objectionable about Sachin's statement?

There seems to be no remorse that the game has taken a beating & the the public supporting the game is let down. I dont understand what is 'overcome'. e.g if somebody's relative has expired the person will naturally ovcercome grief. so every bitter & sorrowful phase will have to be overcome naturally. Sachin need not say that.

People are thronging to the stadiums, people are watching on TV and will continue to do so next season. As long as cricket is good, fans don't care as to who is running IPL.
Only a very small minority writing on rediff feels that the game has taken a beating.

Indians like to watch tamashas. Havent u seen two ppl fightin on road and a crowd gatherin to see the fun.

There is a difference there! People wont gather to watch 2 people fighting on a road if they have to buy a ticket for watching the fight. They watch because its free of charge. For cricket, people are ready to pay money to watch.

This underlines the point that whatever controversies are happening at IPL will not be an issue for the IPL fans! Modi or Pawar or Patel being corrupt is not going to derail IPL.

When there is such a controversy, a person of Sachin stature should keep his mouth shut, unless he doesent want the cat to be out of the bag.

WRONG! In fact, in controversies, only people who have reputation should speak.
Commenting on a controversy is not a crime, is it? After all, all that Sachin has said that he feels IPL will survive this crisis. This is his opinion. He may be right, he may be wrong??? BUT WAT IS OBJECTIONABLE ABOUT HIS EXPRESSING HIS OPINION???

Indian Proxy League is more suitable/appropriate, even shahrukh appears to be a proxy sometimes...
Re: Support to Modi
by Abe Oye on Apr 23, 2010 10:23 AM
Rats are now jumping out of the sinking ship. No one will support Modi now. Indian Marathi League will ensure that....
or you are bound to be in for mud slinging. Don't spoil ur name on the verge of retirement. As for the IPL final, we know its fixed and MI is going to win the title. Public is not phool (well there are exceptions like E Darwin and others).

You are the biggest fool...in fact they will make sure Chennai wins the final coz BCCI treasurer owns the team...u got all your analysis wrong.

Tendulkar isn't Lalit Modi or Tharoor. He has had a successful career of over 20 years and knows how to stay out of mud.
What is objectionable if all that he has said that IPL will overcome this crisis???
