ipl scam
by seenugudimetta on Apr 25, 2010 01:16 AM

it is a well known fact dat corruption was deep rooted in allfields including sports. as criket is a favourate game in india, th big guns have misused the money, names for their self. as long as the politisian dominate in the corruption field, we can,t help.
our legal system, and tax system is just watching blind folded the countrys politicians mis deeds. which is not seen in any other country in the world. only god can save the indian public.
ipl has become a gambling game. it has no spirited contribution. it is a waste to watch the fools playing for their own money sake. all these people should b held responsible, for increasing the poverty of our country.

corruption is already deep rooted in Indian politics.Even there is no morality in Bollywood and Poltics too.
So why blame Modi,he has used the system to popularise game and provide good entertainement.Though in the process he made money for himself and others,he also made India proud of.Mr Shashi tharoor with his International backgroud could have done better job than getting lured to sex and compromising
national interest

Don't underestimate bowlers effort.Any score on total can be defended if the bowlers and fielders do well.

How do u say it' fixed ? Any proof? Don't create excuses.

I sometime wonder that it is this inherent corruption that is keeping India united. It is this opportunity of sucking money that is keeping our leaders in politics. Otherwise imagine these same, powerful leaders would have divided india into bits same on lines of Afgan warlords. Its is due to selfish interest of these leaders that we enjoy being united. So as long as there is corruption in politics India is safe.

Gov. is doing the right Thing!
by Talisman on Apr 23, 2010 04:00 AM

BCCI and IPL have way too many politicians and too little management talent. Moral ethics does not exist. People who have conflicting interests are everywhere.

Cricket is a business and BCCI has been playing the government and the tax payers for suckers. It gets to use all those stadiums built out of tax payers money for free.

It gets stadium security for free. It also gets tax sops everywhere. We have a bunch of politicians that make use of the money earned and taking everyone for a ride.

BCCI must be cleaned up and the IPL should be run as a business and not someone's personal fiefdom.

its a shame
by neutral on Apr 23, 2010 03:27 AM

its a shame that govt is now destroying
IPL and modi.. Of course if players
get money in crores - then it had to be black money. But at least we all got entertainment and it gave world a proof that India is super power.
I though like Tharoor - the ony smart guy(besides manmohan) in govt. too bad he also
seemed to be corrupt.

Great Example!!!!!
by manjunath nagappa on Apr 23, 2010 12:38 AM  | Hide replies

This is a great example for anybody who wants take shortcut route to fame. The consequences are there for everybody to see. What you saw in last 2 years was not cricket, it was sordid episode of greed, sex, cocktails and a worst them of all cheating the Indian cricket public by looting billions of rupees in the guise of running cricket (popularising cricket). Everything should be cleansed in IPL. Cricket should be the motto otherwise its better stop this dirty thing forever.

Buddy these are mere allegations and nothing has been proved. For sure, if indeed the people were involved in any scam they need to be punished. But tell me how come raids started only after tharoor quit. What was the govt doing all these years? If they had known about the alledged frauds, they why did they keep silent? Somebody in the media needs to put the govt in the dock. Merely bringing in cheer leaders does not involved sex as u say! I am afraid it might just be an excuse for the takeover of the BCCI by the govt. Afterall cricket brings in enormous revenue!
