For poor Indians, IPL or no IPL do not matter.
by vijaya kumar on Apr 22, 2010 12:31 PM

Shashi Tharoor has gone. Congress able to take revenge or not. Cricket’s great, jamboree may be cleaned up or not. Does it matter so much ? As tharoor self-destructed, modi haunted by corruput congressi govt. the circus around them diverted all attention from the storm gathering over India.. As the IPL grabbed eyeballs, India gained 100 million poor people, the Maoists grew stronger and people is suffering due high prices of all the items. This figure of 100 million will be added to the last figure of 300 million people( who live below the official poverty line) estimated by the government and planning commission, make the new figure to 400 million poor in this country. This new figure of 400 million poor may sound like a lot in a country of 1.1 billion, but every expert will tell you this is a gross underestimation. If you were to raise the povery line to Rs.90 per day, inadequate for a coffee at a five star hotel – the number of poor in India would cross 800 million. Hunger and Maoist violence are not uniquie to – but are largely centred on – Indias tribal lands, once home to the nation’s denset forests, systematically exploited by local governments, officals and private interests.
Neither the govt. nor the so called secular or sickular political parties or the so called social organizations have any interest in the upliftment of the poor and hungry Indians. They want only money and power and

i do agree that he has staged a magnificient show but you should also remember that he is arrogant.. cunning to the core, selfish (if not he should have resigned for the benefit of the leauge) and thought that he is almost equivalent to the head of the country... tweeting secrets about minister, fighting with home minister and other thing which I am not aware of this Modi boy is capable of doing... It is endgame for Modi, he should resign decently and bow out... before the finals... period

yes john, little bit of maturity in handling politicians would have saved him frm this mess but still tell me who is not after money now a days and unless caught he is a saint. look at mayawati inspite of all she throws on ruling govt she is scot free.

Politician case is always different, they know the rules of the game they play, they are untouchables in most cases because of the people support they have, if they are going to Jail Lalit modi no one will worry other than his family, but they Jail maya then you know the consequences, this is just one of the view about politician Vs Common Man. They know how to escape by numerous ways !

To all hyprocrats..
by karthik k on Apr 22, 2010 11:46 AM  | Hide replies

Modi is a shrewd business man. He can be compared to the likes of Dhirubai Ambani,, He wants to do the best & be the best in whatever he does. He belives the theory of "Anything is fair in Love, War & Business.." 95% of the business heads who runs any kinda businesses around the world mostly dont follow ethics. To succeed and in particular to excel, ethics in business activities doesn't go hand in hand. The only problem i see in this whole issue is, Modi has grown larger than himself and nobody in India is going to be kind about that fact. We all are hyprocrats.. We dont even follow simple traffic rules (including me..) & public ethics, but we all morons will bash Modi's in all walks of life, without goin in to a layered thinking.. continue bashing Modi.. Continue bashing me 4this message..

its surprising that congress itself supporting businessmen all along (check price rise) is suddenly so proactive regarding lalit modi. why dont they spend same resources of in tracking the hoarders of goods leading to price rise? why media is not as active regarding that issue affecting a whole lot of more indians than ipl?

BJP future statements on IPL.
by vijay patel on Apr 22, 2010 11:18 AM  | Hide replies

You be prepared to hear following statement from BJP in future.

...IPL should be investigated, but IPL is not important. India has much bigger issues....

( Read between the line. They dont want other minister (NCP) in UPA to resign. They dont want to know the source of dirty money and foreign account. They dont want BJP connection to be investigate)

They will bring up hate agenda once again in the forefront. Some crazy statement from Modi or Varun to light the fire of hate, so that peoples attention is taken away from IPL

Wow, what an opposition party.

I dont know what your beloved congress party govt was doing for last 3 years with IPL and its investigations. When IPL was conceived Sharad Pawar was at the helm of affairs. What was stopping congress to investigate all these at that time? Probably their lust of power which was dependent on NCP's support and it still is. BJP has from the begining asked for thorough investigations on IPL and govt has announced investigations on IPL now what more You want BJP to do? Disrupt parliament for IPL investigations? Which are already ordered? Bythe way what made congress to sit on the reports of IT dept showing malpractices in IPL which was available almost 6 months ago? Were the waiting for Shashi Tharoor to launch his own team and get caught? Dont bring foolish arguements into the matter by raking names of Narendra Modi and Varun Gandhi.
