BJP future statements on IPL.
by vijay patel on Apr 22, 2010 11:18 AM  | Hide replies

You be prepared to hear following statement from BJP in future.

...IPL should be investigated, but IPL is not important. India has much bigger issues....

( Read between the line. They dont want other minister (NCP) in UPA to resign. They dont want to know the source of dirty money and foreign account. They dont want BJP connection to be investigate)

They will bring up hate agenda once again in the forefront. Some crazy statement from Modi or Varun to light the fire of hate, so that peoples attention is taken away from IPL

Wow, what an opposition party.

I dont know what your beloved congress party govt was doing for last 3 years with IPL and its investigations. When IPL was conceived Sharad Pawar was at the helm of affairs. What was stopping congress to investigate all these at that time? Probably their lust of power which was dependent on NCP's support and it still is. BJP has from the begining asked for thorough investigations on IPL and govt has announced investigations on IPL now what more You want BJP to do? Disrupt parliament for IPL investigations? Which are already ordered? Bythe way what made congress to sit on the reports of IT dept showing malpractices in IPL which was available almost 6 months ago? Were the waiting for Shashi Tharoor to launch his own team and get caught? Dont bring foolish arguements into the matter by raking names of Narendra Modi and Varun Gandhi.

Modi's refusal to attend the meeting
by Ravi Kiran on Apr 22, 2010 11:18 AM  | Hide replies

Modi may be taken into custody before the meeting itself by the economic offences officials or the ED for laundring money abroad (Mauritious), so the question of his attending the GC meeting of IPL on 26th does not arise.

Even if he is taken into custody, it may be difficult to prove the charges against him because he has shifted all the secret documents and evidence from his office to a safer place before the IT dept. raids. He is a big fish and u cannot catch him like that.

no botheration to sonia on below poverty line & Infla
by subbaraju kaddal on Apr 22, 2010 11:10 AM

Manmohan Singh and Sonia will have to give up the goverment if IPL is investigated.
IPL is made up of all corrupt politician. They will make sure that the goverment will will make more number of below poverty lines group.
Consultancy firms Jones Lang Lasalle Meghraj (JLLM) and Knight Frank India said there are about 7,000 such apartments to be delivered within a year in Mumbai alone, where the cost is not below Rs 4.7 crore for a single unit. That means the prices at Mumbai one year housing purchase revenue is equalant to 70000 panchayats. Below poverty line verses the rich politicians, goverment officisl through corruption & looting of goverment bodies.

BCCI Amendment
by ojama on Apr 22, 2010 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

The BCCI amended its constitution in 2007 to facilitate the formation of IPL. According to taht Amendment, only A Special General Body meeting of BCCI(Which all of its affliated bodies attend) has the authority to sack the IPL Chairman, with Two thirds majority.

So on 26th. April the IPL governing can only recomend, Mr. Modi be sacked. The BCCI working Commitee can endorse that, but it still needs and SGM of BCCI to see it through with Two thirds Majority.

So it would take time for Mr. Modi to be formally removed, as the heads of all the affiliated bodies will have to be reconciled and taken on Board.

Tharoor was the card Sonia played almost successfully until Modi caught 'them' at the right time. The attack was targeted on Pawar and an attempt to make Modi the lamb to be slayed.

You can further verify this if in the near future you see MNS (unofficial wing of Congress in Maha) going against Modi.

I hope Pawar has enough political maturity to understand that he is a contender for the ICC chief position and that BCCI and IPL are still not under Sonia's clutches.
