This minister I am sure has not recieved his share of booty or free ticket where he could get Daroo n Khana absolutely free! 'Modi how could you be so stupid ! Send him an envelope with a few lacks of Rs and see the change, he will start singing your praises. Never fear the politician's 'dhamki' instead greese his palms. Thats it.

Whats wrong with these people?
by Sudhir ss on Apr 22, 2010 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

All major developed countries have popular sports league. Indians are obsessed with cricket and there is nothing wrong having our own IPL. If there is tax vasion or corruption govt should fix it. Govt has no right to ban IPL as its just a sports event. Only people who want to drag this country backwards are speaking like this.

In all probabilities, the strongest is that BCCI will take over Government soon.

What is needed is control on illegal money transfer not a ban. However we have our honest PM sons of PM and chairpersons etc are experts in hawala and stacking monies in swiss a/c.No one can be sure if money laundering can be brought under control as long as PMO is contrlling and saving lives of Mr Tharoor and Gilani's.

we indians can easily call the grey a white or white a grey one. we will have supporters either way. if the topic is interesting we will getr media attention and become a clebrity or a notorious one. that depends upon circumstances and politics and not on facts.

why not govt improve the state of affairs of in other sports? why not a cabinet minister or a top political party take it as a challenge for an indian win in wimbleton, world cup foot ball, 4 medals each in track and field events in asian or olympic games in say 5 or 10 years. say 20 years also. or atleat 2 nd to 6 th postion in the above events.

that need a focussed and sincere effort and fire in the belly for success. and it needs to transform us into a healthy, educated motivated well off and whole middle class populated country. that is very giant demand. most of our politicians have them for vote and capture power and not other activeties that do not reward amply.

the present success in cricket is fortituous. one should remember the indian performance in hockey in seoul olympics. we were beaten by south korea a first time player in international hockey. chineese are training and and may compete in world cup cricket. chances are there that may succeed like the south korea. until we learn that success in sports depends on the well being of our citizens and if it is met, it does not matter whether we win laurels in sports or not.

govt. control is no answer.

by Vaneet Chawla on Apr 22, 2010 11:55 AM

If we indians like all others in this world are so crazy about cricket, then why not have T20 World cup every year. At least it shall be true cricket without black money
