BORNN IN MUMBAI B A LEGEND

I wonder if you really know the meaning of legend and ordinary player. Its a shame for a country who dispects Sourav and Kapil the most successful captains of India.I dont need to reply to some craps and rubbish posted by some idiots in favour of ganguly.A player without playing international cricket shows his class...a player neglected, critised and disrespected shows his class.....a player who has been tagged aged player shows his class......a player to be the 4th Highest Run scorer with 3 cardon kamal catches shows his class....a class player should have been born in MUMBAI to become a LEGEND.Both SACHIN and GANGULY are LEGENDS on INDIAN cricket.

legend vs Nose Picker
by Injun Abhi on Apr 22, 2010 05:31 AM  | Hide replies

Hey when Tendulya got out, Banglore was celbrating like they won the IPL-3. If you didn't watch the game on TV, check the pictures out on Cricinfo. This shows how much respect opposition has for Tendulya and his batting ability..

And when Ganguly was getting out in KKR games, the opposition were hardly celebrating but KKR team on bench smiling and lauging most of the times. Gangulys fall probably gave them hint of hope of winning those games...

See the difference between legend and ordinary player

Dont show Saurav down to praise SRT.. They are legends in their own way.. SRT can aspire to be the great/postive/attacking/abrasive/thinking captian Saurav is and Saurav can have the consistency of SRT.. So accept that.. Infact in ODIs SRT Saurav is still the world's best opening partnership...
This is my personal opinion that if Saurav had the same appetite for records and numbers as Sachin he cud have got 200s in Tests too.. But this guy always played for the country .. Also Saurav comes late down the order in Tests so it was harder for him to score big runs.. as India had a very weak lower middle order before Dhoni,Laxman came..

Useless reporting..
by Debasish on Apr 21, 2010 06:43 PM  | Hide replies

This is a crap statistics or I should say blunt statistics. The person who prepared it is more than a computing machine who doesn't have a brain & eye, but knows mathematics like a computer & prepared a report.

In the best fielders list, he has placed all the wicket keepers in the top. Who doesn't know that if you count the no of catches & stamps, wicket keepers will always be at the top. Does that mean they are in the run of best fielder ? If so, then keep a separate chart for wicket keepers alone, to keep the comparison restricted among themselves.

Honestly speaking, without any bias, the best fielder in this IPL3 is Saurav Ganguly. He was never considered a good fielder in his entire cricket career, but after retiring from International cricket for 2 years, the kind of fitness he has bounced with, is there any comparison ? If anybody has seen his 3 catches for which he won the Karbon Kamal catch awars in all those 3 matches, he will agree surely. Tereffic ghround fieldning. God knows, how he brough thatk kind of energy & fitness at 37 years of age. I don't want to comment on his batting, captaicy etc etc bla bla, those are all different topic, if you really consider everything even his match turning run outs with direct throw, match situation etc, you should give him the point. Blunt rediff should learn how ICC give ratings to cricketers. They follow a different benchmark.

I would consider David Warner as the best fielder in the entire IPL,simply because of the number of runs he saved on the field. Sourav's performance on the field was also very good though...

Hello Debasish,

You are telling that Ganguly had done good job inspite of his age factor. That is apprecaiable, I will agree with you and also at the same time there are people who performed better than him.

When you come to field, we should not consider age, experience, etc., All are treated equally for evaluating performance of the day.

Watch semis and see how match fixing works for MI to win
by Oomshik Tooshik on Apr 21, 2010 06:01 PM  | Hide replies

It is predetermined that MI will the IPL. But this is a great opportunity to see match fixing at its best, and done openly.

110% MI will win the IPL in the end. Watch closely. Watch lives given to MI bats , particularly SRT. Watch how Harbhajan gets wkts out of nowhere.

record this game and the final if possible. Watch greed and shamelessness, live.

MI played 10/14 at home. semis and finals too. Look how many times MI bats got lucky in games, slipped catches, SRT allowed to take 10 overs rest, all that nonsense. Overall Ambani needs to recoup investment.

SRT got 10 overs rest, but on any day any batsman ,f found suddenly not fit physically to bat, he ca retire temporarilty. It was severe humid weather with tremendous heat in Chennai, moreover MI lost the match because of Sachin's absence in those 10 overs. I don't agree with this point. But yes, I have seen quite a few mis-catches against them, not sure if it has any links with match-fixings.

I don't agree, I saw the match. He was visibly dehydrated, was not able to continue. If you say still he could play, then why a batsman hurt by a bouncer on body is allowed to retire ? Can anyone say that time, that "I'll go back, have an x-ray, call my phisio and come back"? You are physically unfit to certain extent for whatever reason, you are allowed to retire.

Mr. Tooshik, you know Sachin playing cricket since from 20 yrs, he breaths cricket, so I damn sure, that anyone will comment on his legendary,
About fitness it happens, as it is game of Fitness, if you remember try to recollect the moments when South Africa was playing against INDIA in champions league 8 yrs ago, SA was having target 294 to chase, and they were on 185 in 35 overs, Gibs was on 110 and was expected to finish with win, but Gibs got injured and went back to rest room, and came after some 5 7 overs that time situation was out of control of SA,,,

So what do u say was this match was fix?????

ey guys why are you breaking your head and wasting your energy for reginalism/chennaism.i am still unable to digest the fact that how and when sehwag got injured, suddenly within 24 hours after ipl match how he can injured, did he fell in toilet, met with n accident. all this indicates the dirty face of BCCI,especially dhoni i dont understand what is the problem of dhoni, whatever he do he cannot become sehwag or legend like kapil dev,if dhoni is having so much ego with sehwag, then mr.dhoni should play like kapildev`s innings of 175not.out (1983 WORLD CUP)or like SEHWAG single handedly win matches for country not like in IPL.

I will not agree to you blaming MSD. Dhoni is the one who brought home the 20/20 world cup as captain. Can you now say that Dhoni has not won matches for India. Not only that, against Srilanka, he scored a big hundred (I think 185 or so)and that particular match was won by him singlehandedly. I think this is an ample example for proving his ability to win matches single handedly

on the contrary i feel Sehwag is the one with ego.. May be he feels why he has to listen to some one junior to him... He and Yuvi are ganging up against some one(MSD) who has achieved so much in so less time.. MSD is very matured.. i doubt him benig spoil sport.. May be Sehwag also has issues with Dhoni and someone from Board too...
