BEST BATSMAN : SHASHI THAROOR BEST BOWLERS : MODI BEST COACH : SHARAD PAWAR BEST FIELDER : MR SHASHANK AND AWARD GOES TO MR SHASHANK MANOHAR FOR EXCELLENT PERMORMANCE IN BCCI & FUTURE IPL
Its really heartening to see that the best and most fierecsome Indian opening pair ever, and 1 of the best in the whole cricketing history occupy the highest runs for Indians in IPL-3. Sachin and Saurav still can make a wonderful pair when it comes to scoring runs in bulk and provide solidity to the innings. Some had criticised Saurav for being unfit for T20 in the 1st place, and unfit atleast to open, but my take on it is that since he paces up the innings at a later stage, he makes up for the slow starts. He provides solidity to the team by staying on wicket and building partnerships, and yes this concept of building partnerships does hold gud e-nuf in the T20 perspective as well. Saurav has improved his fielding tremendously winning 4 Karbon Kamaal catches (more than any1 else in the tourney) apart from effecting the all-important run-out of Gautam Gambhir and saving some precious runs with good fielding - and thus has contributed in an area he was considered the weakest. The Captain in him ofcourse is a bonus. Sachin too has shown character in the captaincy role by picking up the rite combination of 11. Saurav here was a bit unlucky in haveing Agarkar and Ishant Sharma in his team, when both individually r so big spendthrifts in donating runs to d opponents. And getting them bowl in tandem (in d KKR v/s RCB match @ Chinnaswamy, B'lore) is nothing less than a recepie of suicide. That Robin Utthappa was in ominous form that day is another story.
It is heartening to note that in this year's IPL all three top positions in batting, bowling and fielding went to Indian players. In fact top three in batting, top five in bowling and top two in fielding! India is shining...

That's bound to happen, as for every 4 foreign players playing there r 7 Indians.
In first season it was sharukh khan seconnd season it was fakeiplplayer This time it is difficult to predict as so many players are in the race Tharoor Modi Hidden batsman Pawar etc
I wonder how all this three south indian teams make it to semis, last year too they made it to semis, hyderabad, bangalore and chennai. last year along with this 3 teams delhi top the group standings and they are defeated by hyderabad team, this time mumbai team made it to semis, lets see who will win this time, anyhow this south indias teams seem to have good planning and stragegy,

But unfortunately our selectors give step motherly treatment for south Indian players when the matter of selection for the national team comes. Srikkant also unfortunately did not see beyond Tamilnadu team for choosing players. Mithun, Pandey, Ashwin, Vinay were ignored for long time in spite of good showing whereas players like Yusuf Pathan, R P Singh, Nehra, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan are given chance again and again despite their poor performance.

India has strong youth power in the team. With Sachin or without Sachin we can win. What happenned to India in ODI World Cup even with Sachin present? Why we did not win a WC with Sachin in the team? Let us not depend on one man however great he is.

Please note that these are not typical IPL players, like Robin, Yusuf, Irfan.... etc.... who all are stars in IPL and useless when playing for India..... but Yuvi, Gauti, Viru, Dhobi r the real stars of Indian cricket.....

Why you include Dhoni? He has proved how good he is as batsman and Captain by taking his team to semis in IPL singlehandedly.
