IPL is a heady concoction devised by modi with the right mix of sleaze and cricket. No wonder people were sitting in the blore stadium even when bombs were balsting. Modi u are magician belive me. But IPL was good while it lasted just like drugs
BJP govt. in Karnatak is to be blamed. When there are bomb blast in non BJP states, Advani will come out & blame the Govt. What is Advani doing now, he has not uttered a single word. What a Hypocrite he is.

For how long was the incident in news? How many people were killed?
Not any of the so-called news channel gave the incidence more than 5-10 minutes of coverage. There was nothing in it for TRPs.
Ofcourse if atleast 20-30 people including some hot-shot cricketers would have been killed then I would have been interested in watching that news and politicians would have been interested in coming out with statements.

Gowda is mad because Kumarswamy didn't win the election last time - Gowda politics blame it on someone.
If some thing goes wrong common man will be effected not cricket players who are gaurded with Z Catageory . There is no meaning on Presssurise players they are pressurising common to see the match (Tamasha) with hard earned money .Thats all
Re: who cares

It would have generated so much TRPs if some cricketers were killed. These bomb blasts were boring. Only few people got injured.
People are jealeouse we can smell the ashes. Also I loved this time IPL because no pakistani allowed to play. Hats off Modi saheb for your brave decision.

Protests to shift semifinals to Bangalore will not be useful and will go in vain. RCB players should get more agression for shifting semifinals and should go allout to beat Mumbai Indians in Mumbai. They should repent for calling RCB to Mumbai for semifinals.
All The Best RCB. Go to semifinals with more aggression.
It is their wish. IPL is good for our youngster cricketer who invest their life in playing cricket. Since everybody can not play in Indian team so they can play in IPL and earn their fortune.
IPL has given very good cricketers to team india.

Continuing the match without a thorough search of the stadium and its surroundings was reckless. This was proved by the fact that 2 more bombs were found later on. It is sheer luck that there were no fatalities.
Prudence called for the match to be at least postponed until the area was completely checked. That did not happen. Regretably, Emotions and sentiments took precedence over prudence!
Some people on this forum find this to be a brave decision, when in fact, it was stupid. People must be able to identify the thin line separating bravery from bravado.
Concerns expressed by the foreign players are very very legitimate.

Many people around you or your place store bombs for such kind of activities, so that means you should not go out or should not go in because of being afraid of it. please talk sense. It was good that the match was played otherwise what would have happened in the subsequent matches is that, bombs are found 1km away and match is getting abandoned because of fear.

whatever you argue, bombs are bombs...if found it leads to a major security situation. people do not store bombs like these(your silly statement)...these are terrorist activities and players and authorities have a right to be concerned..

Do you realise that bombs 'planted' say 20m away from the target are much more threatening than bombs 'stored' 1km away?
You have to judge the decision in light of the events. If bombs were found 1km away, I too will not want the match to be called off. But, once 1 bomb has actually exploded, common sense calls for a thorough search since it is quite normal for terrorists to plant several bombs, not just one or 2.

If the match had not continued and ppl had to be vacated, it would have caused near stampede. Vacating 40k ppl quickly without stampede is an impossible thing. Moreover the crowd was "inside" the stadium which was thorougly sanitized before the start of the match. Hence it was a good decision taken by police to keep the crowd inside the stadium and continue searching "outside" the stadium which they wouldnt have done before the blast
Re: Re: It was a reckless decision

Vacating does not mean asking people to rush out all at once. The authorities are expected to implement systematic evacuation procedures in an orderly manner and if they cannot manage it, then they have no business to organize the matches.

Boss, there were people in the stadium when the bomb was found. U can't tell the people that bombs have been found and so to vacate in an orderly manner. Do u think anyone would listen to it? The first thing they wd do is to rush out and it could have resulted in a stampede. Talk some sense buddy!

The same police who 'sanitized' the crowds also failed to notice some one planting bombs at the stadium. How can one trust the 'sanitization' operations?

He was a smart man. But maybe he was just being diplomatic by saying that 40000 idiots watching it rather than 40000 Indian idiots watching it.
