You are right mate! Ganguly aur kitna Ladega! Last game he was very unfortunate to get out on a leg stump missing delivery to that chubby cheek showoff DOGGI BOLINGER.
One thing is interesting to see is when Sachin or Kallis make some big scores like 50 or 60, they are lucky as their one or two catches are dropped.
But, in this IPL whenever Ganguly has made a fifty he has never given a catch to someone.

I am a die hard fan of Ganguly but to be fair, he has to accelerate a bit more. Today the pressure was certainly on him since Gayle and McCullum got dismissed early but we should have aimed to finish off the match by 12th or 13th over. Net run rate will now come into the picture. Dada, with all his experience, should have kept that in mind. Anyway, hats off to the champ!

sachin acted smart and did not become part of wc team despite pressure from all... otherwise sattebaaj dhobi would have blamed sachin for the loss coz india is not going to go beyond qualifying stages... in fact they might lose the first matchto afganis and come back without going to main rounds the way it happened in wc 2007 when bookies man dravid and his guru chappaal made sure india does not qualify by losing to bangladesh... after all dhobi is much better at playing bookies/sattebaaj games than dravid...
if is a big word...if this happens and that happens... all ifs wont happen and kkr wont make it to semis... good for india and most people interested in ipl...
DC should lose havily to lower their net run rate. For CSK a simple lose is enough as their point is 12. If KKR beats MI then KKRshall be 14 and beat CSK by point;then NRR shall apply between KKr and DC.

I don't think it's too much. CSK is on 12 so if they loose that is enough. But DC should be transhed by DD and KKR should win a little margin. Even one of them goes wrong KKR will not make it to semis
when will McCullum and Gayle do something what they are capable of..Ganguly aur kitna karega..KKR is winning only when Ganguly is getting runs...but he is not as quick as Gayle and McCullum..but atleast he is trying his best...getting runs...fielding well...(direct hit run outs..taking excellent catches..good captaincy...rest of the guys...wakeup..)

that's correct abcd. Dont know what's wrong with Gayle. In a 20-20 match against SA Gayle had hit 10 6s. Are the Indian pitches too slow for him? Dont know what's wrong.

Well made analysis. Also I would like to add one thing is that the youngster Pujara played very well today. Credit to him. McCullum is thoroughly a over-rated player. He is the most inconsistent player. A team can afford with consistent players like Badrinath (eventhough he scores at ODI mode) rather than inconsistent McCullum. Better would be to give chance to Owais Shah. Ganguly is too unfortunate to lead a team of inconsistent players. Gilly/Dhoni are most lucky captains in this IPL3, their teams are in good position eventhough both failed miserably. Hats off to Ganguly for carrying the burden of a mediocre team even in this age. Ganguly reminds of the responsibilities of an elder brother in a middle class family.

I think you made a good point! Ganguly is very unfortunate that he is leading a team which has got not much of a good talented LOCAL PLAYERS. It will be interesting to see IPL4 players' auction.

@Ganessin, I do not think McCullum is an overrated player. He still holds the record of the highest innings in 20-20 so far (158 in the first match of the inaugural IPL). In the currently concluded Aus series down under, I think he was asked to cut his natural aggressive strokeplay and he did play some good inings that way. Maybe he has a hangover of that? Also I think somehow he does not get along with Ganguly (partly a consequence of what happened in IPL2 I believe) and is mentally strained in this IPL3. But yes, even if these are true, he has to shed those feelings and play well. I read some articles about how Gilly and Warne have not got along well with each other since 2000 but it has never affected their games. Gilly has still done numerous stumpings off Warne, won WC 2003 almost single-handedly, and in general have got along well with Warne on the field. But these Aussies are made of different stuff I guess.

@Take That, I dont know if there are any grievances between Ganguly and McCullum still in IPL3. McCullum dont deserve to be in the team for his contribution so far. A one-time wonder is not going to help the team to win. I agree he made a wonderful 158 in his first match but what happened after that? A team cannot afford to have player who will perform once in a blue moon. It is better to have consistent players than the hyped ones.

I truly agree.McCullum is a great player but hey, come on we don't want the star to shine on full moon night. The fate of KKR is near, If they give a chance to Owaise Shah , i think it can pay them. But man, we really miss the brilliance of Gayle and McCullum .

Hi Vishal, they have won in 16.1 overs which I think very good considering the situation of losing two hitters early in the match.

Incredibly incorrigible. Memorable Indian names in IPL3 are Sachin, Saurav, Harbhajan and Zaheer plus many unknown low paid paisa vasool players. Other leading national players failed to succeed. Finally, Modi's efforts are yielding success - in killing the quality and future of Indian cricket.
