Amazing !
by sanath on Apr 17, 2010 10:31 AM  | Hide replies

Seeing the type of messages and the number of them against Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar, mostly by ppl who were till the other day bad mouthing Modi, I am amazed at the flip-flop attitude of these ppl.

Kindly explain one thing, does this mean that if a person has a minister as her friend, she is not eligibile for any job or contract ? Does that mean that if she gets any contract it is solely becoz of the friend and not due to the person's capability ? Are we so cheap that as soon as a lady's name is mentioned we start bad mouthing her using the choiciest expletives ? How come Modi has suddenly become a God who can be trusted blindly ? Why is it that nobody is questioning his stand and asking him why he did not object at the auction itself ? Why did he not raise this subject at the apt forum viz BCCI or IPL governing council as is the requirement, and choose Twitter (of all the places!) to start this topic ? How did Modi's kin get the contract for web telecasting (which runs into billions) ? How did Modi manage to purchase a yacht and an aeroplane worth $45 million in just 17 months ? What is the evidence that actually connects Tharoor with IPL team financially other than what this Modi says ? What is the evidence that Tharoor is actually getting married to Sunanda Pushkar (which both have denied) other than "media reports" ? Why did the media not run amok when Nalini Chidambaram was appointed to cases pertaining the Finance Ministry when PC was

Indian public now does not know what is the truth behind the allegations and counter allegations being levelled with regard to IPL-Kochi saga.

Going by the track record of Indian authorities in such matters, public will never ever know the full truth in future too. Things will be sorted out between those concerned, with or without sacrificing one or more victims.

So I wouldn't comment on what you are saying here.

But one thing is sure. The present time is called Kaliyuga or Iron Age and karmic accounts are cleared then and there without much waiting time.

It is only a few weeks back that Mr. Shashi Tharoor used the medium of his tweets to comment on policies of the Govt he works for - like austerity measures, visa rules etc., much to the embarassment of his Senior Minister Krishna, Congress party and UPA govt.

Now he faces the same medium of twitter from Modi and is being embarassed!

Maybe a fact, but still the answers to the above questions remain, and surely point to the fact that Modi has more to hide than anyone else because:

1. The bid was supposedly fair (if not, then Modi shud be the biggest culprit being the commissioner of IPL)

2. They overbid others (again, if there was hanky panky then Modi shud be blamed for it)

3. The configuration of the group is their internal problem, and nothing to do with Modi. It is none of his business as to what is given to whom and for what. If he had any legal problems with it, he should have notified the ED instead of commenting on Twitter.

4. Fact remains that we know the main faces of other teams, but do not know the actual shareholders as such. So has Modi given information of such before ?

5. Earlier when Priyadarshan-Mohanlal combine had come together with many businessmen to form a group, they had mouthed a similar complaint that the higher ups of IPL have a different agenda, and it is not for smaller players, which is why they opted out of the bid.

For all those who were singing paeans to Modi - Here is something
by sanath on Apr 17, 2010 10:17 AM

New Delhi: In a shocking revelation, the CCTV camera footage showed a mystery woman leaving IPL Commissioner Modi's office at 4 Seasons Hotel, 30 minutes before the Income Tax officers questioned him.

Reportedly, I-T officials have said that the woman was seen leaving Modi's office with laptop and files.

A senior I-T official, said that the woman had already been identified but her name could not be divulged. He added that the woman was someone who was very closely associated with one of the eight original IPL franchises.

Tharoor's contnuaton is improper
by saudiroyal A on Apr 17, 2010 10:11 AM  | Hide replies

It is impropriety of humongous standards if tharoor continues in office.

Tharoor should stand down and maintain the hh standards o the office.

Tharoor should have made sure he was not caught when he decided to corrupt himself by getting his girlfriend take the improper money.
But now he is caught with his pants down and he has got no choice but to resign and save himself further ignominy.

Indian paisa loot
by Equip People on Apr 17, 2010 09:54 AM  | Hide replies

It is unfortunate that cricket lovers are cheated by all the politicians, film stars, business people and media. Hence, it is right time to demand the Governments to explain regarding their tax exemption acts. We must also demand all the union ministers like Sharad Pawar, Faaruk Abdulla, the opposition leader of the Rajaya Sabha Arun Jaitley, chief minister Narendra Modi and members of parliament like Rajeev Sukhla to quit from BCCI-IPL posts. To get rid of these murky dealings their resignation from BCCI-IPL posts is necessary.
