Its possible for more than 4 teams to be on 16. But the Net run rate of MI is way too high , not to figure in the top 4.
Its like you are asking for 72 runs in 2 overs. This is mathematically possible, but statistically impossible.

MI might lose couple of matches by 50 runs, while others improve there run rate, then it is done.

MI need to lose all their matches by 50 run margin, do you see that happen ? And all the other teams have to win/lose in a way so that there are 4 more teams with higher net run rate than MI

Probability is 1/7C4, that is 1 in 210 that is 0.004761905. But there is probability.

I thought IPL should give a one match ban on Shane Watsons behaviour. This will be a lesson to him and the other Aussies. The way he behaved especially to Saurabh Tiwary was disgusting. Shane Warnes sportsmanship is not good either.
Sachin is really a role model for indian youth. Let them watch him lead a team, his commitment and his team spirit and his tireless age. Today he has scored the highest runs in IPL-3 at the age of 37. In most of his knocksin IPL - he led from the front and his never -say-die spirit. Indian youth should also carry the same fighting qualities - unmoved by criticism and respond with only performance.
