One of the best ever Umpires that the world cricket had till date... No one can replace him... May his soul rest in peace....
David Shepherd was an excellent umpire, never biased any decisions against any country, a thorugh genetleman and great entertainer at field. He will be always remembered for his honest decisions and cool nature with utmost repsect.
May your soul RIP, my heartly condolences with his family.
He was someone who brought a smile to one of the most tedious jobs; umpiring. He had his share of mistakes, but the way he ran the game reduced any possibility of friction. This is what umpires can learn from him. A good umpire must not only know the rules of the game, he should be good in man management, something some of the present day umpires are poor in.
