this is a great initiative surely....but, an estimated loss of 12000 crores was recorded in the recent floods in Andhra n Karnataka, shouldnt there be some sort of relief fund for those people??

There is the "Prime Minister's Relief Fund". Contribute to it.
What is harm if the filth rich parents of a few pampered kids get them a one day audience with Tedulkar!! The fat snob kids are not going to enter the Indian team and the mone will be spent for a good cause

how much did you give this year?? 1 person is not supposed to solve all the problems of India. People like you who say "what will 1 person's money achieve? So I will not give anything" are responsible for the sorry state of India. Muslims give 5% income to zakat (charity), Christians supposed to give 10% income as tithe (charity). Modern day Hindus search for the smallest coin in their pocket (50paise, 1 rupee) when putting money in the "hundi".
So stop cribbing about "what did he achieve" and do something yourself before criticising others who have done something
