Scored a quick half century. This man can really bat well. I don't know why people say he's not good. I think he's one of the best cricketers to play domestic cricket in India. He may be a bunny playing against quality pace bowling, but he sure can score tons of runs against bowlers bowling around 115km/hr. It's sad that he is not considered to be a great batsman just because he became a failure for Team India. Now see he's doing great where he belongs, the domestic circuit. Ganguly ki jai ho!

hehe. Do you have the stat for the speed of the bowlers who bowled him to score 18K international runs of his failure for Team India? Is it that all the bowlers bowled him around 115k which allowed him to score 18k runs? Common give me some facts to back your comment.

Even Steve Waugh has his weakness against short pitched deliveries. It is a loose talk against Ganguly about short pitched deliveries. He cant play for this many years with that weakness and score that many runs.

Ho ... Ho...Ho...Did Ganguly took us to world cup finals? 2003 World Cup
Against major oppositions where opening partnership was spoiled by Ganguly
8 v New Zealand at Paarl 9 v Aus at Centurion 19 v Eng at Durban 0 v Pak at 48 v Srilanka at Johannesburg 3 v NZ at Centurion 24 v Aus at Johannesburg
And now look Tiger against minnows
112 not out v Nam at Pietermaritzburg 107 not out v Ken at Cape Town 111 not out v Ken at Durban 24 v Zim at Harare
Not out against minnows to swell averages but mediocre batting performance. Now go and find out why we went to Finals who scored there? Keniya went to semis as England and New Zealand surrendered matches and points as protest against Zimbabwe regime for their safety. And those were supposed to be played there in Zimbabwe.
and as England and New Zealand surrendered their matches in protest against Zim regime Kenya came to semis. Ganguly is worser than rookies of 20-20 like Sharma Yusuf Uthappa and Gambhir all capable of replacing him in ODI
I am not comparing Ganguly against any body, but it is true that he was forced to retire just because he was not from South India, There is no denying that he would have still played on if he would have been from south

I don't agree. not only south india, Had he been from bombay he could have as well played for another 10 years. there is no limit form bombay players.

I am not Bengali. I am from Pondicherry. If Ganguly would have been Mumbai he would been given opportunities like Sachin from 18th year till he wants to play.

there is no denying sachin, ganguly, dravid and laxman are all gems of indian cricket and each is a legend in their own league.

I think its not fair saying supporters from south india are biased. I feel maharastrians are teh most biased lot. they can't tolerate anyone else progressing. they just know their own city or own state and own language and own caste
ganguly is a legend. without his presence india would not have ever dreamt of becoming no 1. the fruits which dhoni and earlier dravid and kumble enjoyed as being the captain of no. 1 team, the seed was sown by ganguly. history knows every legend has been subject to criticism by some non- knowledgable few but each time they have come out victorious.
sachin, dravid have scored tons of runs only because they were secured under ganguly's captaincy. people remember ganguly scored 7000 test runs but actually it should be 17000 runs when you take into account teh pressure of indian team captaincy. sachin was too buys making records at the same time and did not have to take the burden. anyways we all know how sachin and dravid are as captains. lol.
