EVEN INDIA's STATE RUN ALL INDIA RADIO SAID THESE ARE BASELESS!
by Kabeer on Oct 06, 2009 03:16 PM

This is more worse and has caused more damage to the morale and prospects of Pakistani cricket than the terrorist attack on the Srilankan cricketers.

You cant treat your national team members in this fashion.

This is utterly ridiculous!

Instead of standing behind the team when these kinds of baseless allegations are flying, you summon them as if they are criminals!

Even the national state run media in India didnt support this kind of view when these allegations were raised. In fact the expert commentator invited by the All India Radio anchor in the Sports Talk programme, termed these allegations when raised by caller as baseless, insulting both the teams of Australia and Pakistan, and unworthy of replying. He didnt even entertain the question.

Now, in India the state run All India Radio takes this kind of stand, but you guys summon your team captain and manager for explanation.

Shame on you guys!

What if you find that there is no truth in the allegation? Are you going to apologise publicly and compensate them for forcing them to go through this trauma?

This is highly irresponsible!

Just apply a little common sense and you will find answers!

If Pakistan is going to win or reach the finals of the champions trophy their earnings through sponsorships will increase manifold and will be consistent for years to come. Do you think they are going to sacrifice for the sake of some one time payments as alleged by some irresponsible people?

this is an injustice and insult to the diamonds of the circket world like Ejaz Butt, captain Younus Khan and coach Intikhab Alam. These are the kohinoors of the cricket world. this is a delibrate attempt to spoil the careers of such diamonds. their should be any question, and doubts about the patriotism and honesty of these players. I urge to UNSC to look into this matter and took strigent action against these parlimentry board memebers. Look how innocent these players are. I can not even think like this in dream.

I’m sure this Jamshed Khan Dasti has lost lot of money betting on pak victory no wonder he is accusing players without any proof whatsoever.
How can a senior parliamentarian accuse the national team of such grave charges without any inquiry.
Such things don’t augur well for cricket as players will be under tremendous pressure to perform evrytime which can effect them

Why Younis allowed spinner to bowl so many overs in batting power play (around 45 to 50 overs) when he has not consumed fast bowlers overs? He did willingly to loose..

The match becomes a friendly match once teams qualify if u have played cricket you will know teams don’t go for the kill if their goal is met.

Why match fixing scandals involve, many a times, SA Pak and India(viz fixing allegatins in ipl in SA, pak match fixing with help of ndian bookies etcc). More over the Aus and NZ match against pak wat i feel is not fixed according to visual evidence(after having repeated look). The pak cricket board officials everytime feel they lost everything, if they lose a match

Against ausies how can team be only 6 down and score so few runs in 50 overs. Then game drifted towards ausies until last 10 overs and rana naved and asif turned into galdiators from ordinary men bowling amazingly well. Then yonus introdced ajmal at cruital time over asif. In short the match criss crossed from one to another and then there was a small matter of india qulifying to next stage depending on the result of the game as west indies was bowled out for 120 odd runs. Too good a situation to be just coincidental. Anyone who can apply commensense can deduce something shody is happening as billions are placed on bets every hour of the match. And icng on the cake was it was pakistan team who has there coach murdered playing the make or break game and it was india who could have or havent qualified on the result of the game. India is where billions are placed on bets and pakistan team is where there always is a mystery surrounded. Add 1 1 and you will understand what is happening. And my personel openion is the ex match fixers like azhar, jadeja etc should be prisoned for 15 yrs at least as cricket is a religion in india and it is indian team that is playing not azhar XI or vijay mallyas banglore RC. Match fixing is betraying the millions of nation fans. Should be punished to the maximum. Period...

pak players(afridi) always said they give 110% against india.
this itself is fixing meaning they give less against other teams.
in that match they had motivation to underperform.

But India would not ahve qualified even if Aus lost. Dhoni didn't try to win with a big enough margin. He chose to filed first, we meant India's chances of a big win were tossed out there and then

But India would not have qualified even if Aus lost (look at the final net run rates). Dhoni didn't try to win with a big enough margin. He chose to field first, that meant India's chances of a big win were tossed out there and then. Did he know about the fixing or was purely pessimistic about India's bowlers gaining a victory by 104 runs?

Pakistan's problem
by KISHAN on Oct 06, 2009 02:25 PM  | Hide replies

This is the problem with Paksitan especially regarding cricket. If they win they claim themselves as world beaters and if they lose (which is more often than winning) they atytribute it to match fixing as if other teams are incapable enough to beat them within the due laws of the game. Really pitiful conduct.
