Re: India close in on 600
by BISWADEEP SINHA on Nov 25, 2009 01:13 PM
THERE WILL BE NO RESULT HERE EITHER. THE WICKET IS EASY AND OUR BOWLING RESOURCES ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
yuvi and vvs should try to score atleast 70% s/r...then we can declare soon, and give SL atleast 20 or 30 overs to play...no point in playing tooo slow...
Re: Re: Unfortunate......
by Anurag Rathore on Nov 25, 2009 12:23 PM
Why pakistan used only 4 bowlers till now? Around 30 overs by each bowlers!!! Definitely poor captaincy.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Unfortunate......
by Anurag Rathore on Nov 25, 2009 12:33 PM
It was natural. When pitch is flat and not helping bowlers a captain should try part times. They will give break to regular bowlers to reagain their energy. Dhoni did absolutely right in 1st test.

Sachin should gracefully quit the game of cricket in his prime form, or else he will be dropped one day or other and that will hurt many of his fans.

If he retires now only ponting will break his records that is why he is playing
Re: Re: Unfortunate......
by prasoon on Nov 25, 2009 01:39 PM
Its quite true. That Sachin only plays for records is obvious from the recent number of victories India achieved when he scored big. That he could have helped Kambli was obvious but he was afraid of being over shadowed. And his pretence at sincerity was over when he appealed to the Govt. to avoid paying genuine taxes on a lauxury car he was gifted. with the kind of money he has earned...he should be setting precedents instead of begging for doles on tax relaxation.

sachin is the most selfish player in the history of cricket. when he new that 3 ppl above him has scored centuries, he new , if at all he scores , wld not have that much weightage. therefore he came down the track, and hit tried hitting irresponsible shots, 2 get out. he always wants to be in the limelight, and trys to be modest. never even helped his friend kambli when he was in need, bcos he feraed that kambli may perform better and hog the limelite. selfish sachin.

Vikram Vikram? It is easy to talk sitting & watching TV. On the field it is much more difficult out there. You seems more selfish to me because to get limelight in this forum you criticise Great Sachin.

You are trying to be counted off by saying something controversial..and please let me know how Sachin could have helped a player in getting into the team.Because I doubt anybody has done something like that?..SAY AS YOU MEAN IT.

Not sure there is anything wrong w/pitch. Sanga played three spinners. That is the mistake.
Pitch offered swing in the morn. for pacers and now assists the spinners.
Stop believing all those aussie propaganda that if they loose it must be the pitch. India scored these runs 'cause they've got players like dravid, sewag and gambhir.

BCCI can see lesser patronage to Test cricket in India. But then again, pitches are made to the fancies of BCCI and not the curator.
Re: The best way to kill test matches

dont worry like all other sports in india...BCCI WILL kill cricket also...they think People will come n see 20-20 n they will make money out of it...but people like me always prefer battle between bat n ball..some times it get borring to see batsman smashing everywhere in the ground n bowler as helpless..if trends continue to be like this I fear one day cricket will be also see same postion as others sports in india. see in england be it 20-20,oneday or test you will see almost packed staduim there..because there is something for both batsman n bowler

Dont you think that T-20 is also killing cricket. These pitches are a result of excessive T-20.
Re: The best way to kill test matches
by You See on Nov 25, 2009 11:34 AM
n what about pitches which help bowlers swing and get the batsmen out for meagre scores(wherein the team struggles to get past 100 run in the first innings and the next innings the side batting would score more than 400 just like Aussies/SA). Is it good! Does that not kill test cricket...
Re: The best way to kill test matches

correction--these pitches are made for tendulkar to keep ahead of ricky ponting
Re: The best way to kill test matches
by Hindustani on Nov 25, 2009 11:36 AM
Its quite obvious that indians cudnt have given spinning pitches to lankans as they have much better spinners than the so called indian spinner harbhajan singh... and also they have better fast bowlers than the indian dull bunch of so called fast bowlers... so the only option was to give batting wickets to the run hungry accumulator indian batsmen so as to draw the series.

Re: dravid runout...
by Sandeep Kumar on Nov 25, 2009 11:14 AM
I don't know whats the problem with Dravid. After playing so well, run out is not the best way to get out. This happened many times in recent years.
Come on Dravid, this dosent look good to a great player like you.

ur rite.. he shud've picked a better way of getting out.. cmon dravid... get catch out like this dumb sandeep says... don't pick run out...
Re: Re: dravid runout...
by sunil varma on Nov 25, 2009 11:27 AM
it was a fluke runout...the batsman hit the shot...the bowler missed his catch...but the ball hit the runner's stumps....Dravid was out of his crease.....cant do much there
Re: Re: Re: dravid runout...
by Sandeep Kumar on Nov 25, 2009 11:35 AM
Height of being unlucky. Either get out like this or a bad decision from the umpire..!!(First test second innings).
I think these are the only ways how Dravid can get out. lol

Oh, is it? I invite you & your school team to Kanpur on this same pitch & see if your team can score 100 runs first. Lets talk about 1000 runs after your school team crosses 100 runs first
