kirsten demand only highlights that application forms are being for a place in the team. why are not such applications made available for all the players.... definitely sachin must have filled and given the form first

INDIAN CRICKET
by Aam Admi on Nov 20, 2009 06:56 AM  | Hide replies

The story of Indian Cricket is very much clear. The players play to earn money and secure their position for the next match. If one has scored a century in the first inning, why should he unnecessarily spend his energy and efforts in the second innings. There is absolutely no motivation for them to win the matches. All the greats of Indian cricket, if you see their records, they have played only for their records, none of them, particularly the senior ones have ever played to save a match. Somebody, in these columns couple of days back had mentioned that all the Australian players have to perform because getting into the team and continuing there is not an easy task. There has to be some threat to their position in the team, otherwise the country will be face many such humiliations. Also, Now, when the team needs the batsmen to stay on the ground, the likes of Dravid and Tendulkar should be more concerned about their sticking on the ground, but then the Indian Team is Indian Team, Dravid is already out. Let us see what Tendulkar does now.

sorry....ur comments apply to fellows like....sehwag, bhajji and quite a few like minded cricketres....but remember this team also has players like Dravid a totaly commited team man who is willing to take any role for team needs unlike sachin who is happy to play for his hundreds, kumble who is willing to bowl his heartout on these sort of pitches without complaining like harbajan...team players should learn a lot frm thse two greats..

Kirsten-Be Careful

Don't demand too much or else you will loose your job. These are superstars in Indian team and they don't believe in accepting demand nor dedcation-harwork to bring glory to their nation and over billion population

I am bemused at the rediff report where it says india would have to bat out of their skins to save the match. Nothing can be further from the truth. India is just 2 wickets down. Also, the wicket is absolutely flat and the lankans don't have mendis either who could have been lethal along with murli. With only murli in their ranks, it is a sure draw!

India is famous for snatching defeats from the claws of victories and it is the lacklustre and highly hyped Indian bowling responsible bringing them into this passe

India will lose
by India on Nov 20, 2009 02:48 AM

India will lose this match and get humiliated once again by Sri Lanka. They always do. Nothing new. The only trick is for BCCI to motivate them and promise these players new endorsements with lots of money. Then Sachin, Laxman, Yuvraj and Dhoni will all score centuries. If they had announced it yesterday then even Sehwag would have scored his 200 odd runs.
