No point blaming sachin
people say he shud have finshed the game when chasing 350.
hope u all remember the SA's historic chase of 434.
Gibbs played a similar innigs that time 178 of 111 balls , but when required 60-70 runs he threw his wicket , and left all work to boucher and the tail , SA's tail fought well even aftr they lost 9 wkts , and won in last ball.
thats how a team shud play. here no one balmed gibbs , but when it sachin every 1 blame him
why ???

Nair

Good question.

I think it boils to the question of TEAM performance. If you have a TEAM you win.

If you don't then you have fighting knocks ruined by the balance 10 (or 8 or 9 as the case maybe).

The previous Indian chases at the unlucky Hyderabad ground had featured two fighting centuries by Yuvraj - India losing on both occasions.

Apparently, we don't learn from our mistakes!!..

Cheers. :)

Kingston, it's good to praise someone lik eSachin but calling him GOD is something creating more problems for Sachin.
He's a class player and one of the best in all time. But let him remain a human, please.
Nair is absolutely right. All high targets that are achieved, tale has played a good role in them. And what Against Pseudos said about Yuvi's 2 fighting centuries, no one had said about them whether Yuvi should have won those matches for India. Then why blaming only Sachin?

Funny !
by manoj ak on Nov 10, 2009 08:46 AM

We have the best opener in the world...but he rides on luck plus he prefers loose shot !
Middle order with no consistency and tail enders are worst than a Ranji team !
And above all gutless under pressure !

panic ka shahenshah
by s mumbai on Nov 10, 2009 07:53 AM

the most valuable player is ravindra jadeja... ozzie will give him thumbs up any time...

bowled mediocre bowling (gave his couple of wickets so that he stays in indian team)

allowed to make runs (when none of top 6 could make runs how could he...he was allowed so that he makes into team for 7th odi)

panic ka shahenshah jaddu will not only crumble during pressure but will create umpteen opportunities for opposition to scramble through the batting.. with the gifts of baroda and hyderabad and his spirited effort in mohali, jaddu is the MVP of the tourney...

Un-Sachin

:)... And no doubt you'd want the Grandpa out of the ODI team as soon as possible.
Else his 141 ball 175 type knocks show up YOUNGSTERS like Dhoni, Yuvi, Sehwag etc. in absolutely poor light.. :)

Is this our (S)TEAM INDIA?
by NALLANTHIGHAL RAMCHAND on Nov 09, 2009 08:16 PM

Team India has become STEAM India exposing its inconsistency in every alternate match. What shud they be proud of? It is only the LUCK factor that has brought INDIA to the TOP THREE position. TEAM wake up now and try to understand the game with dedication and loyalty towards the game.

Closely fought series!
by sandeep kumar on Nov 09, 2009 08:00 PM  | Hide replies

Let it not be forgotten that our team ran Aussies very close, and for some bad luck, would have won the series. Also the pitch at Guwahati was substandard. If Aussies had batted firdt, Bhajji would have spun them away.
LEts cheer our guys for a 5-0 win against Lanka

Thanks for telling us that not only can't we play good solid cricket, we can't even prepare good standard pitches. :)

This message is a clear reason why in India there is no focus on excellence.. Reality is always swept under the carpet and hype and false sense of wellbeing is predominant. For being a champion team, you need champion attitude and thinking. Things like bad luck and words like "Could have", "Would have" are for losers. That is the big difference between Australia and India in cricket and also the change in attitude that needs to be imbibed in the next generation..

People never change...
Have this extreme confident on yourself and try to improve your personal life..All these 11 people(team india) have enough grown(commercially)..you, me , media and everyone should try to ignore them, then automatically what you said will become true(5-0 win)

Dream team of MS. Dhoni!!
by krishna rm on Nov 09, 2009 07:35 PM

Dhoni never knows how to select a team. Let him learn it from Ganguly. I think Dhoni's dream team consists of the following fellows..
Bowling - i. Venkatesh Prasad, ii. Manoj Prabhakar (Opener), iii. Ishant Sharma, iv.Nehra (allrounder), v. Ravinder Jadeja, vi.Dhoni(c & wk), vii.Ajith Agarkar, viii.Ravi Shastri, ix.Sujith Somasundaram(Opener), x.Robin Uthappa, xi.Gautham Gambir(in present form)..
