Un-Sachin
Dunno what Sachin needs. But what YOUNGSTERS like Sehwag, Gauti, Yuvi and Dhoni need is Sachin's ouster from the ODI team. His constant 141 ball 175 type knocks show up these youngsters in pretty poor light .. :)

Johny
Rightly said. The earlier the better.
Else the image of Viru, Gauti, Yuvi and Dhoni cannot sustain the continual beating they are receiving when contrasted against his superlative innings, which don't seem to stop. :)
Re: Most waste players

lowest strike rate is by jadeja & dhoni. Kick them out. If u take dhoni century out, his strike rate is less than 60 in entire series.shameless player.
Sachin is at no-3 in most runs makers in this series. Hussey at no-1 with 313, Dhoni at no-2 with 284 runs and Sachin at no-3 with 275 runs! He's a better strike rate than Dhoni! hahahahhahaha He's gonna lead the list if not from both sides but from Indian side for sure! Where are those who were saying Sachin should be kicked out! he's second in MVP India points of view. Where are other so called young players? Sehwag 138 runs, Yuvi 128 runs, Raina 156 runs, Gambhir 158 runs....
He has better strike rate than gambhir, Yuvi, Dhoni....

Hey Guys
Before talking anything abt any player, one should have some knowledge abt cricket, not like Atul Wasan talking non-sense in NEO channel, who not even played 50 matches. My point is dont even compare our team with that of Assie.they have all eleven players playing for their country. In our case only two or three. And when one fails all kind of crtisim came from all parts of India. That how we people of India are. And Sachin, he is the Greatest In this Era.Pointing is no where near my dear. Before praising him just feel the amount of pressure this man (sachin) carry each time entering in the field, including us(me, you etc). Talking Bla Bla Bla is very easy , but to execute is very diff. just go and get a 100 against Ban'esh.Ane then talk.

My dear, Sachin suppose to be according to his fans and all Mumbaikaars, BCCI, GAVASKAR HE IS GOD OF CRICKET, BEST BATSMAN IN THE WORLD. ALSO SURELY MOST EXPERIENCED BATSMAN OF THE INDIAN CRICKET TEAM. HE WAS ON JOB IN HYDERABAD IN MOST EASIEST FLAT PITCH YOU COULD DO ANYTHING. BUT HE FAILED MISERABLY HANDLING THE SITUATION RIGHTLY TOWARDS WINNING THE MATCH FOR COUNTRY. THERE WAS NO HUNGER IS SEEN IN HIS FACE TO WIN THE GAME AT ALL. EVERY ONE SAYS SO. SO WHAT IS GREAT IN HIM???????????????

Hi Pranav,
sachin scored 175 of 350 required to win. Can you tell me what the others were doing?
Or do you think as the 'God of Cricket' he should score 351 alone?
Yes he got out at the last moment and it was very disappointing for all including me. However, if he would have pulled the shot off, and got a boundary, the likes of you would have praised him no end.

CONSISTENCY and RESULTS that matter, my dear friend. Out of 275 runs in 6 matches, 175 came in one match. That means 100 runs in remaining 5 matches at 20 average!
If you average the salary of your organisation, it will be showing high. If you average the wealth in the world no one will be poor.
Check the scores of Hussey, Ponting, watson in the series and you will find what is the use of being consistent.
Finally, if he had atleast won the match in Hyderabad, it would have been a consolation.
He ensured that he got: 1. 17000 runs 2. 45th ODI century 3. 3000 runs against Aussies 4. 6000 runs in Indian soil 5. Highest scores, partnerships ...
Did he ensure a win, one win in this series????
You asked where are those asking for Sachin to be kicked out. Here I am and there are plenty more!!!

Out of Dhoni's 284, he 112 came in one match. 160 runs in 5 matches with 30 as average but with 77 as strike rate... anything less than 80 as strike rate is useless in ODI...so whats the take?
Re: Re: Sachin at no-3
by johnson david on Nov 09, 2009 08:16 PM
Hello,
Completing 17000 runs does'nt mean that those runs will not be counted to the team. A single batsman can't win unless they are supported by other team mate when you are chansing 350. YOU CAN'T BLAME SACHIN IN THIS MATCH. You can't say that why he did'nt score 20 more runs. After all he scored 175 which is 50 % of the target.Even if you take the innings of Herschelle Gibbs while chasing 440 plus againist australia, others contributed significantly. So moral of the story you can't produse match winners unless they are supported by thier team mates especially when are chasing scores like 350. Ofcourse apart from this match, Sachin had a ordinary series.

Atleast he made some records. But what about friends yuvi, sehwag, raina, gambhir, ishant etc who could neither made record nor win the matches. Why u want them in team when they have failed more than sachin. Be honest man before writing some thing silly.
Re: Re: Sachin at no-3

U idiot murli. If consistency & match winning matters then why not Yuvi/sehwag/gambhir/raina/ishant/dhobi etc should be kicked before him.

Hi Friend Ashish Kumar,
Please note that I never said that Sachin Tendulkar should be kicked off from the team. All that I said was " HE IS A GREAT BATSMAN AND NOT THE GREATEST".
If he needs to be greatest, he needs to be accepted by all and not by many.

first mind ur lingo,,, this is an open forum, Murali has given a reason for his thinking, if u have a claim support it with facts,,, dont be a sore loser when it comes to losing ur agrument,,, Also remember the No. 2 Team in the world was 27/5 in the last match,,,,
Re: Re: Re: Re: Sachin at no-3

Yeah 27/5 and How come only Sachin is responsible for that...?? U and Murali need to grow up when it comes to cricket debate i guess...

People like Naveen Dhanerwal and Rajkumar KVM forget basic things in their excitement to indict Dhoni.
Dhoni is not a specialist batsman in the side. He is in the side first as wicket keeper and his batting should be considered a bonus. Secondly he is having the responsibility of leading the side.
Tendulkar hardly ever bowls these days (may be due to unhealed elbow injury etc.) and is a specialist batsman.
Again, the cricketing world holds Sachin as the be all and end all of batting not at just Indian level but at world level. Why then compare him with an ordinary player like Dhoni?
If one compares Dhoni with Ponting, Dhoni then matches Ponting on every count - runs, number of fours and sixes, fielding points, MVP score etc.
Tendulkar deserves all praise for his brilliant 175 at Hyderabad, but he must surely be cursing himself for playing that uncharacteristic Dilshan (scoop?) shot at the most inappropriate juncture - with just one run per ball required from 3 overs!
Let us appreciate the good work of the team and sympathise their bad luck!

If wicketkeeping is the criteria, then he must be replaced with kartik or patel as both of them are better wicketkeeper than him.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Sachin at no-3
by tanmoy on Nov 10, 2009 01:23 AM
@orient, if wicketkeeping is the only criteria to be in the team then there are many wicketkeeper who is better than him in India, specially parthib is far better than him ......
dhoni is in the team for his batting...if u said that that is the bonus i doubt upon ur cricketing knowledge...and don't even compare one of the legend of cricket ponting with dhoni....dhoni never can achieved what ponting has achieved as a batsman and as a captain
The MVPI should consider consistency also in awarding points, else in one match if you score well or bowl well, you score will jump unduly. The other things that the MVPI should consider are:
1. Winning contributions 2. Dead Rubber contributions 3. Situation based contribution
Re: MVPI should have points for CONSISTENCY also
by ASHISH KUMAR on Nov 09, 2009 05:40 PM
If u put these in to account, Dhobi could have been be kicked from the team 3 yrs before. He significant contribution come only once in 50 inning but still maaintain his avg in ODI by no. of not out innings, manipulated batting position & all runs scoring on flat wicket against Bgrade bowling attack.

Murali
Hmmm... so when a whole team crumbles and 9 out of 11 batsmen make the pitch sound as if it was full of snakes, AND someone comes along and scores a majestic 175 from 141, surely the Situation based contribution should give him 25000 points, right?... :)
Re: MVPI should have points for CONSISTENCY also

and who will do this mathematics? It's already enough complicated, no!
Re: Re: Re: MVPI should have points for CONSISTENCY also

Didn't you look at fielding points? I think catches, runs outs and stumping comes in fielding!

NO NEED TO DISCUSS AND WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME. THIS IS A SIMPLY BAKWAS GAME IN WORLD.
