that was a protest against Vidarbha cricket association who knowingly prepared wicket to favor Aussies to counter Dalmia backed Ganguly. it was pitty politics which caused india the match.
Ganguly rightly protested and stayed away frm the match...

KKR finished last this time because ganguly was not captain. Now that he's captain again KKR may win this time. Ganguly is the only captain after 1983 to reach world cup final not like dhoni who exited in first round itself after loosing to "bangladesh"

Both old & tired & can see in the recent airtel T20 how tired Dravid & Kumble were.Infact shud have age restictions for T20 say 29yrs? Otherwise our famous cricketers like our politicians will stay forever with walking stick! Ha Ha

Mr Ganesh
Dhoni was the main culprit for all our loss in T-20 wcup matches as he fialed to score in every match.
His strike rate is less than 100 in T20 & never able to hit when required. no match winning inning.
Even dravid/laxman strike rate is better than him. Kumble has won many T20 matches on its own bowling even though t20 is not a bowlers game. Also kumble much better captain than dhoni.
Just because dhoni age is on lower side & he can play politics, he should continue while great players like kumble/dravid/laxman/gilly/hyden/jaysurya/warne ec(all more than 35 yrs) who are still performing better than all useless & arrogant young Indian players should retire.
What a stupid logic.
Talk some sense before writing.

He is the best ever captian and even Dravid, Kumble captiancy was good. I am looking forward for Ganguly as a captain for Kolkata Knight Riders and if once he become captain then they wil win for sure. He has good thinking mind as we can see him in The Honour Series in Times Now News where he clearly explain each and each point very clearly

overhyped player n captain. he was such a pathectic player against fast bowlers that he won't even deserved to be in indian side. thanks to Dalmiya n co n media especially bengali media n bengali reporters that an underserving player was in our side for over 10 years

Captaincy
by Sanjay Roy on Nov 05, 2009 11:43 AM  | Hide replies

No doubt Dada was a great Captain. He took over captancy when the morale of the Indian team was badly down and it was losing everywhere. He made the team look up with pride and attitude and a lot of the present setup has come up thanks to Dada. On the other hand Dhoni too is very good. He has led from the front and proved himself time and again. He will mature into a a fantastic captain the longer he stays.

Both dhoni & dada useless & average player who just survive based on politics.
Captaincy hype is created by certain section of biased media & fans.
Any captain is as good as his team.
If u have many match winners like sachin, sehwag, dravid, laxman, kumble, yuvi, zaheer etc in team & they are in form, u will win the match otherwise u will loose no matter who tom, dick & harry is the captain.
Aus team under same captain start loosing once they lost match winners like gilly, hyden, warne, mcgrath etc. Clear example that great player wins the matches & not the captain.
In name of captaincy both these dhoni & ganguly cotinue for a long time as non performing player & burden for team.
Both players are just overhyped. Though I agree gaguly was a good ODI batsman(except for short pitch delivery) & more talended than dhobi. While dhobi is much more political than even dada.

Dude, i guess u dont understand anything of cricket.

Players like Sehwag, Yuvi, Bhajji, Zaheer to name a few, became great under Ganguly's regime. It was ganguly's constant backing that got them to the position that they are in.

That is why all of these adore ganguly.

He always lead fromt he front.

I willa lways remember the 140odd against australia in brisbane on a bouncy track, when everyone else failed in 2001, and that draw that leading from front, showed the way to other Indians to follow suite in the coming games in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

India would have wont that series had not a Mr. Bucknor wanted to save the series for Steve waugh's last test series.
