if sehwag is struglling

11 off 25 odd balls..
wicket is really horrible.
no match should ever be played in kotla.
Nagpur pitch was world class.
all world cup matches(if any) must be shifted from kotla to nagpur.

I wish all our wickets like Kotla. Sporting wicket that helps Bowlers as well. Makes the game more challenging and players have to put in real efforts and skill

Sack the curator
by Ramdas Nayak on Nov 01, 2009 08:10 PM  | Hide replies

The Kotla pitch was like paddy field. Those who saw Gambhir getting out bowled. has seen how the ball kept low and unplayable. Dhoni and Yuvraj played gem of an inning to coast India to victory. Such pitches should not be used in future for international matches. I urge BCCI to take action against DDCA and the curator for presenting a dirty pitch.

Nayak,

So What was wrong with the pitch? If the pitch had little more for bowlers, is it bad pitch? It was sporting pitch.

Gambhir got out because ball turned little more then he expected. There were 230 runs scored in 50 overs, what do you want- 300 in every game? Let Batsman rule and bowlers kept getting hammered?

Ponting is the biggest Whingers and just just join his bandwagon blindly..

Sack the Curator?
Why do you want that poor guy loose his job? Because he prepared sporting wicket that helps bowlers and makes it difficult for batsman?

But he opted for it after winning the toss. He had no option of course. If he had given India batting after winning the toss, Nagpur story would have repeated and his side would have suffered much horrible loss.

Ponting is blaming cricket pitch & not talked abt other games. Why should we discuss abt them here! Please move to sites of other games & enjoy blogs there.

If Ponting is blamming the pitch, that doesn't mean we blindly start supporting him, criticize BCCI and groundman. Ponting is cry baby and sour looser

Neither am I supporting Ponting nor is he my favourite cricketer. All I am saying is Ajit's statement that he is greatest loser of all time is very wrong. How can he win 2 World Cups for Aussies, Champions Trophy for Aussies and so many Test matches and ODIs if he is loser ? COme on please speak logic and truth is all I am saying :-) buddy Ajit.

You said "Pointing one of the greatest loosers of alltime"

Who are your POINTING at Ajit ? Which player ?

Before POINTING others mistake, you first look at POINTING at yourself. You have written that great players name as POINTING. His name is PONTING not POINTING.

Aus missing some key players
by ramesh babu on Nov 01, 2009 06:58 PM  | Hide replies

I think indian cricket team is giving a tough fight to the aus even in the opener, making worth of money for the homeside fans, but dhoni should be aware of lee & hopes in the P1 & slog overs..they can really generate pace and trouble the top order especially @ mohali. Lee will be aware of the bouncy pitch, he played for punjab kings-X1. It's better to try out some options to avoid injuries..dhoni should rest nehra & try out TYAGI or amit mishra.

on previous day of the Match Dhoni proclaimed 200 is a good score to win if batting first... This has captured the mind of Ricky ponting team they were targetting little above 200 runs.

no offence poornima but without playing consistently well no team would reach those top 3 spots, SA never won a worldcup, but, for your information, they are one of those most feared teams in world cricket. Ricky might have won 2 world cups, thats because of the hardwork done by mark taylor and steve waugh to build a world class team. Name one cricketer which ricky ponting has brought in and won a world cup? gilly, hayden, langer, symonds, martin, warne, lee.....none of them......am not degrading his achievements but STOP PLAYING RICKY'S TRUMPET HONEY!
