What complacency?
by sakar panch on May 29, 2009 05:22 PM  | Hide replies

Complacency is for performers :)

If you follow the recent IPL you can rate as below:
1. Openers Gambir & Shewag (consistent poor performance).
2. Yuvraj Dhoni (Below par).
3. Yousuf (Big hype no output)
4. Raina (Gem of a show).
5. Zaheer (Good - but injured).
6. Bajji/Ojha (Good - not sure if because of pitch).
7. RP (Good - but will he perform for the country????).

etc etc.

So where is the question of complacency - first talk about efficiency.

you are 100% right. I agree in toto with you. Complacency is a big word which should be used by those who are most talented achievers. Gambi has achieved pittance in ipl.

Gauty is non performer along with sehwag, harbhajan, yuraj ishant it is surprising why they are in team each has played more than 10 T20 games and non has met expectation. Nehra should have been in place of ishant, amit mishra/ kumble should have been in place harbhajan(part timer like rohit sharma and yuraj, and rajender jadeja were better than harbhajan). Most important we remember Vengsarkar was pulled up by BCCI for writing coloum in Times of India where as K Srikant is brand ambasador for chennai super king why doble standard infact he is on payroll of BCCI he gets 25 lacs per annum as chief selector. Even ICC did not allow gavaskar to write colum while he was chairman technical committee

CHANGING ATTITUTDE
-------------------
WHY DON'T WE PEOPLE BELEIVE IN OUR PLAYERS.
T20 A FORMAT IN WHICH TWO YEARS AGO WE WERE CALLED AS UNDERDOGS, NOBODY BELEIVE THAT INDIA WILL WIN BUT THIS HAPPENED.
SO I THINK I MUST START BELEIVING IN OUR PLAYERS
AS OUR TEAM IS FULL OF HITTERS AND EVEN ONE OF THEM SPARK, THAN NOBODY CAN STOP US FROM TAKING ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

1. Openers Gambir & Shewag (consistent poor performance)only in IPL and Sehwag ended with half century and looked good. Gambhir is just a stroke away from form.
2. Yuvraj Dhoni (Below par).Donno where you got that from.
3. Yousuf (Big hype no output). Again you just did not watch IPL because you are comparing 2008 performance with that of 9. Yusuf needs to click in one match and we are thru. Others are there for other matches.
4. Raina (Gem of a show).
5. Zaheer (Good - but injured). Half fit zaheer is equal toMcGrath at this time.
6. Bajji/Ojha (Good - not sure if because of pitch). You just do not play cricket to talk of bajji this way.
7. RP (Good - but will he perform for the country????). Forgot 2007 world cup performance?
So for incosistency and its surprising how consistently ppl talk of inconsistency fromIndian team.

Yeah guys, the word complacency used by him because we are the world champions right now for this format of the game, so dont always find fault whenever our players comes with a statment.

Sehwag and Raina are the kwy players in batting. Indian bowling looks quite weak. Fielding also is below par.
