When Blood Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri are there in a judge panel, they will select only Mumbaikar and no new that Rohit sharma has been selected. It should have been Suresh Raina. No question about it.

Re: Rohit and Raina by Rajesh Sharma on May 23, 2009 07:07 PM Permalink he could be if he will play for india by the heart not for money like a sachin Mr. Rajesh Sharma,
You must be a jobless or a beggars who live by bagging, that is why you do not understand that everyone on this earth do his work for money.
I knew that even beggars have cell phone but I did not know that they have PC and internet also.

for good for nothings of whom even their parents are ashamed every one plays by heart and sachin only play for money... thats why he is still one of world top batsman even after 20 years... as for ipl is concerned sachin who plays for himself and money is still better and ahead of zero heroes who play by heart like viru and gambhir and dhobi...
rohit is the only i see making to the podium,he might take some time to establish but once he is there he is going to rock a raina or some xyz wont even be close to him

Rohit is pure class , accpeted. But be frank and tell from your heart, who had performed better in this IPL. Its Suresh Raina dude.
In a way, it can be said as like Lara, Raina can no play quality fast bowling. Both can play spin bowling very well though. Among the greats, only is the one who was knocked down by a fast bowler--Sohib Akhtar. For me Lara has been considered great just because he scored lots of runs on flat pitches.

You can call it isolated event, but he is only one among greats who was knocked down by a fast bowler. It is not only me, many in WI says so about Lara.

Lara is far better player in his era and Raina has to play nearly another 10 to 12 years to be compaired with the greatest ever :) so wait and watch
Rohit Sharma , Raina , Ravinder Jadeja , all three are Good Players for the Future. They placed exceptionally well, and also handled the pressure well. In the 50 Overs /20 over format , they are good. But looking at Test Match Level, they have to work hard and horn their batting styles & Skills technically for becoming the ability of other Indian players like Sachin/Dravid/Lakshman. Right now, all these talented players are of the same mould as Sidhu/Srikanth/Sehwag means successful but not that much talented . Looking forward to their best , in Future.
