KKR - Ganguly
by nitin vijaykar on May 19, 2009 10:54 AM

KKR without ganguly can do much better. At least they can reach till semi-final. Ganguly is just a useless player. a total waste.

NDA didn't loss......

It was the loss of third and fourth front. I would like to thanks people of UP and Bihar. Now UPA can work freely without any pressure. Lalu/Mayawati/Mulayam/S.Pawar should not be in cabinet.

CSK....
by Anurag Rathore on May 19, 2009 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

CSK bowling is not as strong as other teams. Surprisingly they batted so well without Hayden, it was a great reply for those people who think CSK batting line up is only dependent on Hayden. However no one can replace Hayden. KKR exposed the CSK bowling yesterday. Dhoni is intelligent captain and will come with some new strategies in upcoming matches.

Kolkata Knight Riders' Misery
by harsha on May 19, 2009 10:36 AM  | Hide replies

KKR is full resources and it could not be utilized properly. Reason may be..

1. Poor Captaincy
3. Poor team management.
4. Lack of team spirit
4. Out form of some key players..
5. Continuous playing of hopeless bowler like Agarkar.. who was instrumental to bring many losses to team India.
6. Bad Luck.

But surprisingly still it has huge support base...

Why CSK lost
by LG on May 19, 2009 10:29 AM  | Hide replies

Not because of poor bowling of CSK but because of Dhobi who could not score in last few overs and made bad decisions in bowling changes.

I have been telling you all that without Hayden, CSK is the worst team in IPL which is hyped by the media for commercial purpose.

What is the contributions of Dhobi so far? Nothing. Do not tell me he scored 40s.
His decisions which a person with little brain will also make in those circumstances had juts been hyped by commentators as brilliant such as keeping a slip for Murali when ball is spinning, giving bowling to Raina when every one can see that he is bowling well and has to be given preference, or keeping ones best fielders the boundaries in final overs.

Dobhi is an overrated cricketer. When he should have take blame for not putting more runs by accelerating in final overs he blames bowling for loss. KKR bowling also went for plenty but they won because Brandon and Hodge scored fast.

One thing I agree with you is that Dhoni needlessly gave bowling to out of form Balaji instead of inform Raina. Balaji spooiled entire game by bowling slow medium pace which any one can hit. Balaji should thank Srikant for his selection. He is a total waste.

I am sorry you are wrong. Balaji bowling has contributed to earlier wins. My point is bowlers from both side went for plenty of runs--so it is not lost because of balji gave away runs. Had CSK scored another 4-10 runs they might have won---so they lost because Dobhi is incapable of scoring those extra runs. It is pity that he blamed bowling instead of blaming himself.

Why was the point of changing wicketkeeper? He thought at that time that they have won the game so he did this unthinkable just to get cheap publicity for his captaincy after the win.

This is not fair, dear. One loss and people have started criticising Dhoni. I think the credit for this win should go to KKR. After scoring 188 and the team looses the match then one should give credit to KKR. In this IPL Dhoni, Warne, Kumble, Gilli are good captain and the bad captains include Sachin, Sehwag, Brendan.

I am not criticizing Dobhi because of this loss. I have been telling you all for long time that Dobhi is overrated, over hyped cricketer and captain.

Do not insult Warne, Gilli, and Kumble by comparing Dobhi to them as captain.

If you can not defend 188 against the a team who had lost to all other teams, how can you call him as good a captain as Warne, Gilli or Kumble.

It is relative. 18 runs might be enough on other pitches but were not enough on this pitch. The fact is Dobhi could lead from the front like Brandon.

Remember, If you get Hayden and Raina out cheaply, CSK can not put fightinf score on board-because Dobhi is not capable of doing it.

First you need to stop calling him Dhobi. He is a cricketer and not your colleague. Second, every cricketer has a role to play and every player has their limitations. Dhoni is a wicketkeeper, captain and a batsman and he is doing reasonably well in all these departments. His contribution to Chennai team is huge. And if he is a bad captain then he wouldn't have qualified so early for Semies. A bad captain can spoil any good player whether Hayden or Raina. It looks like you waited for a chance to lash out at Dhoni and you finally got one. Learn to respect good players and don't vent your Dhobi ghat frustration here.
