Why you blame Balaji when pitch was flat? Bowlers from both sides went for plenty of runs.

Dhoni could not score extra 4-10 runs for his team so if anyone to be blamed it has to be Dhoni only.

dhoni has comletely changed his batting style nowadays...........

i still remember how he used to hit those long sixes.........

still he is a good batsman and safe keeper..........

dont expect any batting technique from him................

i rate gilly above dhoni as he did not changed his batting style in his long carrear ...........

Shammi,

Dhoni is nowhere near Gilly who is among the all time greatest cricketers.

Dhoni is the most hyped and most overrated cricketer (although by few Indian only).

Match Fixing
by sweet orange on May 19, 2009 02:54 PM  | Hide replies

IPL and Lalit Modi are taking the people of India for a ride. It is clear that few of the matches were fixed. Example: 1)Strong batting side like Mumbai cant even chase 120 @ 6 runs/over against not so strong punjab attack minus bret lee. 2) Mumbai cant score 4 runs from 6 balls and a bad bowler like munaf patel concedes only one run that over whereas he goes for nothing less than atleast 12 runs/over usually. 3) Deccan needed only 4 runs in 5 balls and Rohit sharma throws away his wicket as if he doesnt know how to play and with 5 wickets still in hand deccan cant manage to score just 4 runs in last over. 4) Non regular bowlers like rohit sharma and yuvraj singh take hatricks repeatedly as if it a joke for them. 5) Teams do well till the 18th over and suddenly they throw away the game to the opposition. Teams have been losing from winning positions and winning from losing positions. Such things happen in cricket but not as frequently as they have happened in IPL 2. So guys watch IPL only for time pass and dont get sentimental like the people of Mumbai did during Mumbai - rajasthan match which was certainly fixed. Jayasuriya batted as if he is new to International cricket!!!!

Its clear that a few matched in IPL were fixed. Teams losing from winning positions, teams winning from losing positions, good bowlers bowling badly, non-regular bowlers taking hatricks repeatedly, teams losing by one run, two runs etc etc. In cricket such things happen but not as frequently as they have happened in this IPL. Match after match you cannot have a close contest. Something is definitely fishy. So guys watch d IPL for fun but dont get sentimental like many people from mumbai got during mumbai-rajasthan match which I suspect was fixed.

In fixed matches,
i) catches will be dropped;
ii) good bowlers will not bowl;
iii) runouts and stumpings will be missed.

Dhoni showed his explosive batting in 1 match of IPL where he got MOM.
We can appreciate him because he is playing well despite of back pain. After a match even Hayden said Dhoni presence at other end helped him very much.

1.You are saying T-20 WC victory was luck. You should know India lost only 1 match in whole tournament and surely deserved the T-20 WC.

2.You are saying in CB series his contibution was nill. You should know just because of his 80 plus runs inning against SriLanka in do or die match India reached in final.

3.You are saying what is great about winning ODI series in SriLanka? You should know he is only first indian captain who won the ODI series in Srilanka. Check the record of SA in Srilanka who won only 1 ODI and lost 9 in Srilanka.

4.Beating NZ in NZ is not a joke. India did it only first time.

5.How can you decide that did he deserve Padam Shree and Khel Ratna or not?

6.ICC ranking is not a joke. Otherwise Australia never dominate in ranking.

7.When Dhoni played 183 against Srilanka they had Murali and Vass in the team. Srilanka team were number 2 in ICC ranking that time.

Give some strong reasons.

1.You are saying T-20 WC victory was luck. You should know India lost only 1 match in whole tournament and surely deserved the T-20 WC.
I said India did not win because of some special personal contribution from Dhoni.

2.You are saying in CB series his contibution was nill. You should know just because of his 80 plus runs inning against SriLanka in do or die match India reached in final.
Do not just quote one inning? CB series win was because of Ishant and SRT.

4.Beating NZ in NZ is not a joke. India did it only first time.

So what! Just because it is first time should we attach great importance to it without considering the quality of the opposition. If you really know cricket or watch cricket for long time you should know this NZ team was the weakest team coupled with flat pitches. Only game which was played on good pitch, India lost it.
5. How can you decide that did he deserve Padam Shree and Khel Ratna or not?
Because I have seen other better cricketer or sport-persons.

6.ICC ranking is not a joke. Otherwise Australia never dominate in ranking.

Dhoni being the #1 ODI player itself is a proof that the ranking is a joke.

7.When Dhoni played 183 against Srilanka they had Murali and Vass in the team. Srilanka team were number 2 in ICC ranking that time.

When was that? Long long time ago. That is the only inning he played well. Has he scored century outside India?

My point was and is that he has not reached a stage where he does not have to prove.

Give the detail of any player who played at 7 and has better achievements than Dhoni. He is contributing more than a number 7 batsman can be capable. He comes down the order so how can he make another 150 plus. He was MOS against Srilanka despite he played in lower-middle order, It itself an achievement. His batting average is best among all the number 7 batsman in the world, it also an achievement.
What is your expectation from Dhoni, which he didn't do yet?

I do not know what you are saying. I have seen him coming at even at number 3. When pitch is flat and enough runs are on the board he promotes himself ahead of better other. But when pitch good for bowler and not enough runs on the board he always demotes himself as long as possible. he is most coward cricketer I have seen in Indian cricket history.

He is Lallu of Indian Cricket. I am sure like Lallu he will eventually be found out.

I don't know what you want to say. Because if I would captain I will always send Dhoni up in the order when the pitch will be flat(Because he has ability to rotate the SR) and will send him at 7 whenever pitch will assist bowlers(Because he is not techniqally strong). Dhoni did the same, what's wrong in it. You are blaming him because he is captain of India, if some other captain did the same for Dhoni then you didn't blame him.

Below are my replies to Anurag Rathore (#5-13)

5.Home series against Pakistan, England and Australia
Can you tell me his personal contribution?
6.Khel Ratna
He does not deserve it. There are many other deserving candidates. In some cases, award are not giving deserving person but to someone who has backing.
7.Padam Shree
He does not deserve it. There are many other deserving candidates. In some cases, award are not giving deserving person but to someone who has backing.
It was mistakes giving this award to him and Haribhajan. If I were there sport minister I would have taken away their Padam Shree awards.
8.Number 1 in ICC ODI ranking from last 2 years
ICC ODI ranking is joke. It is for fan like you. He is so ugly in his batting it is shame that he is ranked 1.
9.Best individual inning by any wicketkeeper in ODI
When was it, against whom? I am sure it must be in India only against SL, or BD.
10.Leading wisden X1 which had 6 former captains
Ravi Shastri earns his livelihood by over hyping Dhoni. I am no at all surprised. Ravi was an ordinary player, ordinary commentator, and ordinary judge.
11.Most catches in an inning by a wicket keeper
How come he missed the stumping in last or last to last match, if you think he is great wicketkeeper? Do not tell me that it was once in a while. If you say so, then this record can be termed as once in blue moon achievement.
12.World record of finishes the match with sixes
I have never heard that record. Which matches he has finished with

These are the facts you do not accept. Dohni is over hyped whether you understand it or not. Most of the cricketer lovers understand that.
You are just a blind supporter of Dhoni.

Yes it is true, I do not like Dhoni. But it is because of his character and cricket related abilities. I have not met him and he has done nothing bad to me.

I hate when people hype an ordinary player and that player started thinking very-high of himself---skipping Padam Sree award ceremony.

haribhajan is another of this kind. MI is lost many macthes because he deliberately did not put fight--he took single on second-last over and MI could not score those 4 runs.
There people are blaming SRT.
I blame SRT for keep choosing player him again and again.
