ARE INDIAN COACHES NOT GOOD ENOUGH ?
by rambo only on May 03, 2009 01:11 PM  | Hide replies

There's one aspect in the Indian Premier League about which all the eight franchisees have thought alike.

It pertains to the appointment of coaches.

All the eight outfits opted for a foreign coach to guide their teams' fortunes in the second edition.

Coach can make big difference in creating a right kind of atmosphere which in turn motivates players to give their best.

However, I do not think a coach has to be a foreigner.

Where is Yusuf Pathan ?
He has contributed in most of the RR wins.
How can one forget the superover against KKR.
and his blazing knock of 62 the other day.

"" Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag on Tuesday gave full credit to Yusuf Pathan for powering Rajasthan Royals to the five-wicket victory over his side and said the right-hander just came in and blew the game away with his clean hitting.

He came in and just thrashed the bowling attack, especially I wasn't expecting Vettori to go for so many runs. He is such a wonderful bowler but Yusuf Pathan got it right," Sehwag said after the match. ""

DEAR none in your list has performed in all the matches, including AB DE villiers to Tendulkar.

I disagree with second prediction .
BRC will not win in a tight contest.

BRC will thrash MI today, just wait and see.
Every Mallya addict has his day. Today is the day for BRC.

PRESENT TOP FOUR TEAMS
by rambo only on May 03, 2009 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

PRESENT TOP FOUR TEAMS :

1. Hyderabad
2. Delhi
3. Mumbai
4. Rajasthan

MI after solid start have slipped to third position.

Will this slippage continue and KIX Punjab will get into top four in place of MI?

We will see in forthcoming episodes

Bhasmasur Rakshas,

Could you tell why they do not deserve to be in last 4?

I think they truly deserve for their fighting spirit. Even with weak batting lineup they are won matches with pure hard-work and excellent leadership.

Your list of worst players lacks any thought or logic..

Worst players in the IPL have been :

1) Swapnil Asnodkar(RR)
2) Rob Quiney(RR)
3) Parthiv Patel(CSK)
4) Graeme Smith(RR)
5) Laxmi Ratan Shukla(KKR)
6) Jacques Kallis(BRC)
7) Brendon McCullum(KKR)
8) Ajit Agarkar(KKR)
9) Sanath Jayasuriya(MI)
10) Virender Sehwag(DDD)

Other notable names : Gautam Gambhir, Manpreet Goni, Ishant Sharma, Abhisekh Nayar.....

These people have disappointed all of their fans in the IPL...i'am especially disappointed by Graeme Smith's poor form for RR and Abhisekh Nayar's inability to make an impact for MI......
DDD is missing great starts due to poor form of Gauti and Sehwag....

Sanath jayasuriya scored a 50 against KKR and gave a good start in MI first match against CSK, So he has not done that badly, Agreed that he is the most destructive batsman in this format, Yet he has not performed that badly :-)

Frankly it is an insult to expect anything from players like Swapnil Asnodkar(in south african conditions and south african pitches), Rob Quiney who is an unknown batsman for Victoria maybe(not sure), Laxmi ratan shukla(when has he played any good innings till now) :-)

Yup some of the players u have mentioned like Parthiv patel have flopped but he also gave excellent starts for CSK by staying at the crease with Mathew Hayden, Jacques Kallis has scored couple of good knocks, Grame Smith has played 1 useful innings but he is flop none the less :-)

I agree with list of Sachin the best. Probably you are the only one expecting bigs things from

) Swapnil Asnodkar(RR)
2) Rob Quiney(RR)
3) Parthiv Patel(CSK)
4) Graeme Smith(RR)
5) Laxmi Ratan Shukla(KKR)
6) Jacques Kallis(BRC)
8) Ajit Agarkar(KKR)

Sanath Jayasuriya(MI),Ishant Sharma, Abhisekh Nayar have not been excellent but they are making very useful contributions.
