Good development

It is a good idea. Coz as we use to see in many oneday internationals conditions under lights changes drastically. So, this will provide more oppurtunities for either batsmen or bowlers. Take for instance if a pitch is bone dry and the ball is turning square during afternoon session then in the evening session if there is dew then the ball will become wet and spinners will have challenges in gripping the ball and also ball will slide off the pitch making it better for batting. On the contrary if new ball is taken then there will be more swing during night time than at day time that will again be exiting. For quiet a long time opening batsmen and at the most batsmen at one down have weathered the storm leaving the middle order to deal with the old ball and less hostile conditions. This move will mean conditions will change mid-way during a day and that will infuse more interest. Purely from playing perspective it is very good. My only apprehension is white ball stops swinging earlier than the red ball otherwise it is a great idea.

Double Standards

The ECB and the English Press were up in arms against the IPL saying it is against tradition. Now this decision by MCC is like striking a red hot stump into the heart of the most traditional form of cricket.

Better Ways??

I think there are better ways to increase the attendance at the venue when the english play again bangladesh..
1. can reduce the ticket price if 3 tickets are bought??
2. can have some lucky prize in the stadium with the audience??

ECB should make the tickets free plux some Cash Incentive for every person who comes to the stadium to watch the match. Then also no one will come to watch Eng (They are playing Badly) and Bangladesh (What to say abt this team which is a total Waste) playing.
