I think at the end of the day it is the team with the best local talent that will win. Last year too the most consistent performers CSK, DD and RR got very good contributions from the local lads.Suresh Raina was stand out last season for CSK and DD inspite of none of its overseas batsmen clicking went on to play well on the strength of Viru, Gambhir and Sikdhar Dawan at one down. Rajastan Royals had Yusuf Pathan clicking at the right time with bat as well as ball to carry them in the crucial stages of the tournament. It is in this aspect that one has to concede that Hyderabad, Bangalore and to some extent even Punjab look weak. By the way watch out for this Jarkhand lad Saurabh Tiwary. This boy looks fearless and can trash the ball hard. He did not get to play much in last season's IPL but i think an year in domestic circuit should have given him the exposure that is required for him to mature.
Its a useless prediction by Sekar. Cricket is not about having star players etc. That too in T20, prediction is very hypothetical. Hope he forgotten the fate of Deccan Chargers last year, which had many star players.
thanks to their all rounders. They have some of the best in business today: Albie Morkel: In peak form, knows SAfrica Flintoff: consistently bowl at 140 and also a smooth hitter Jacob Oram: Big hitter; also bowls well. Dhoni will know how to manage the superstars- he is already doing that in the Indian team
They are no longer kolkata knight riders...plus they have Chris Gayle, Brendon Mcculum, David Hussey, Mashrafe Mortaza, Ishant Sharma and Moise Henriques...great team
guys dont forget Bangalore teaam, it is very much babalnced this tie, they have Kevin Petersen, Jesse Ryder, Ross Tylor, Dale Styn, Kallis Boucher (all in form batsmen), also they now have Uthappa

Well Uthappa is only useful for making Uthappams a tasty south Indian dish for breakfast :). Well every team has players which can be written on a paper but that doesn't mean it will translate into performance. Dont forget last years performance.

Yup Gautham gambhir looks perfect for T20's and IPL, Maybe the real darkhorse and dangerman is none other than Viru Sehwag, If that fellow clicks then nobody can stop him :-)
