Captaincy series wins abroad against quality opposition Pataudi one series win
Bedi and Wadekar 2 Series wins each against mighty of their times.
Azar Ganguly one each against quality oppositiom
but Ganguly Captaincy only series win was shared in PAK series so credit is devided between Dravid and Ganguly.
Dhoni and Gavaskar one each against mighty side of their times Australia.
Verdict- Ganguly was not most successful captain as projected by eastern journo and fans.

dude...all your efforts to degrade saurav are like fart in the open air....no one gives a shit abt what you think...he is the most successful captain who changed a bunch of losers to a winning group.this is what stays in everyone's mind...he is responsible for the brand team india...
There hv been reports going 4 past 2 days that KKR management doesnt want to give Ganguly a guaranteed place in the side, with him being the captain his place was also guaranteed. His performance in last IPL, where he scored 3 fifties, 2 against the weakest sides Bangalore & Hyderabad & one against Punjab in a dead match that is cause of worry 4 KKR management as they feel he cannot perform in crucial games & also doubt his fitness. So instead of saying they are sacking Ganguly, they smartly came out with a multiple captain plans so that bengalis dont create a scene like it had happened when Ganguly was dropped from indian side. But same bengalis kept quite when Ganguly dropped Kumble from ODI side when Kumble was performing & is the most ODI successful bowler of India, it was so bad 4 him dat he decided not to play ODI's & came back only after Ganguly was sacked as captain, Robin Singh after taking 5 wkts was sacked from next match, worst was Aakash Chopra being dropped as a opener in order to accomodate Yuvraj as opener !!! Bengalis didnt think all this was wrong n didnt protest.
IPL franchisee's are all about money, if their team wouldnt per4m they lose on advertising revenues & non performers will be sacked.

Maybe who knows KKR might win IPL after sacking Ganguly, remember Indian team started to win in one dayers consistently after sacking Ganguly, he was sent back from Australia & we won the triangular. The last 4 one day series that Ganguly played, South Africa (3 mts), Eng (6 mts), Pak(5 mts), Aust (5 mts), he ended up scoring only against England with 3 fifties that too on the slower side, we won 3 matches & Sachin had scored in all 3, rest 12 matches he managed single fifty & averaged 31.75 Aust, 24.33 SA, 22.25 Pak, clearly proving that he couldnt fast fast bowlers of Aust, SA & Pak while opening & facing the new ball. His high average & runs after his come back were due to high scoring against WI in India, Sri Lanka minus Murali & Vaas in India, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Ireland & England. Just see the teams at one glance & u know how great at batsmen he was even after his come back to ODI's. Check the facts on Cricinfo.

after come back DADA performd well.b4 he done well as a captaincy in tat situation. remember WORID CUP 2003 in SA. SO HE IS ALWAYS BEST EVER.... At tat team needs him,but 2day doni.
