Democracy vs Entertainment
by ramesh kumar on Mar 25, 2009 09:05 AM

the choice is obvious. BCCI and BJP are trying to make political capital out of the unfolding incident. Cricket is certainly a national religion. But not at the cost of democracy. IPL guys are crying crocodiles about national pride. Their asli motive is the potential loss of gate revenue. For BJP, it is a god sent opportunity to kick dust. Chidambaram as usual was his arrogant self. What's new? Asmaan neeche nahi girega agar IPL were to be held outside India. It is just entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. When will we INdians begin to give due weightage to things in life?

IPL matches outside India.
by gokuldas nayak on Mar 25, 2009 08:08 AM

Common men are feeling releived that IPL matches are being held outside India because in case of terror attack casualties take place of those match viewers inside the stadium or around the stadium or around the hotels where players are staying or lahore like attack. Lucky are those who organise the matches. Its only common who are affected and not the star organisers.

Complete the humiliation
by Kes Som on Mar 25, 2009 07:59 AM

Now, let us go one step further. Our national humiliation will be complete after the inclusion of Pakistani players to play in this IPL.

The world is laughing at us.

Utter Shame to Indians
by Badarinath Wuntakal on Mar 25, 2009 06:01 AM  | Hide replies

I am not able to express my feelings as an Indian on this shameful decision by IPL Organisers. I personally stay abroad and many of my colleagues are teasing Indian security sustem and moronic acts of IPL and BCCI commitee. Embarrasing though I have to accept it and cannot fight back as what they say is true. Just Question it yourself Me.Mor.. Modi Have you ever seen English county or Footbal leagues like EPL, La Liga or Spanish League being organised outside their own country for whole tournaments and lose their pride. I believe you cannot understand the sentiments of Indians, you are just behind money and cricket is just a kinda business to you.. Never mind just an advice to you "Learn to be sportive if you want to be in Sports field" Be Indian Think Indian or better get lost from India.

You call urself as Indian n u want BBCI to get lost out of india. As ur living outside india , u dont have ne right to say nethng thts happening in india. Govt was rite by not providing the security but so was BCCI by not cancelling the tournament. Do u know around 600 crore is the money involved just fr a tournament n tht too fr just 25 days ? Wld u have preferred to loose such money if ur company has to cancel the event ? Outsiders like u r nothin but morons who only advices tht india shd do this n tht but when it comes to act , morons like u run away to abroad behind money.

STUPID SECURITY MISTAKE
by sudhir dhar on Mar 25, 2009 05:51 AM

SA has a sizable Muzzlaa population. The A Kaa ida folks may launch a strike in SA, and unlike India, where IPL has a lot of say, in SA, IPL will be at the mercy of SA govt......Its a Stupid security mistake.

Teams will be more susceptible to attacks in SA, vis-a-vis India.

And about UK: Didn't the London Bombing happen in UK?

IPL is a private business TV game show
by vipul saxena on Mar 25, 2009 05:27 AM  | Hide replies

IPL has nothing to do with country. Cricket is not an official olympic sport nor does it is controlled by any government organisation. After great TV revenues in 20-20 world cup, lalit mode got an idea of earning more money from TV ads so IPL was born. 99% of the revenue is by TV ads and businessman have invested money. The problem is that if any untoward incident happens during IPL, the Commonwealth games next year can go in jeopardy. indians will anyway enjoy this TV game show IPL

Congrats to Modi and Good Luck to IPL as they havnt surrender to Pakistani Terrorists like Indian Government

Govt. on knees once again against English news channels...

Is India govern by Government or few English news channels....

The IPL going to be held in SA , its once again its proves that Indian Govt. mishandled by media and played in the hands of few media people of India.

Indian Govt. shd think the consequences on longer run of this decision...

Indian Government shd think out of box rater then forced them to act accrodinglingly media's wish...Government need to grow up and saves Indians and their humiliations

Its proves that Govt. of India have accepted that they are incapable as like Pakistan and Afghanistan and they are in line with these country. Its affect a lot on longer run on INDIAN economy as well as future plan of holding Olympic. They are already going to hold 2 major events like Commonwealth games and ICC World cup in near future.

Now we have suspect that if wht Govt. of India will do on 15th August , If there is terror threat...are they going to host flag in other country .???

Congrats to Modi and IPL that they have organised aginst all odds and given a positive message to the world else it will be victory for Pakistani Terrorists.

By not supporting IPL, Govt of Inida proves tht they are incapable to handle Pakistani Terrorists...

Congrats and hates to Modi...

Good Luck 2 Modi..

Show must go on..

Wht if there is Terror Threat during General Elections in India , are they going to held this election in Pakistan ??? so much wrong messages to across the world and common people of India...

They have accepted that they are incapable of everything and humiliated every Indians across the world against every non Indians...

Government should think their own rather then played in the hands and wishes of English news channels of India
