Why Congress Chiddu did not want IPL in election season?

1) Nobody will attend rallies
2) Nobody listen to their boaring speeches.
3) Journos will go to matches
4) Nobody will see leaders faces on TV.
5) So lessexposure.

and last cricket (IPL) unites India whereas these leaders devide India.

Matches should be held in US. They have every thing and US and India are natural allies.

IPL is a choice, not compulsory
by abdul nazeer on Mar 22, 2009 07:21 PM  | Hide replies

Indian Govt. could necessarily give protection to many big events simulataneously, but IPL as said is not a national pride, its not a world cup or a champions cup. Its so called a domestic event. So why take chance and give a chance to the bad elements. The Govt. did the correct decision. IPL is a domestic tournament with some foreign players, everyone knows its a business investment by the franchisee, its your choice, you can watch or do something fruitful. We all love cricket, watch our favourite players providing nail biting finishes, so its a stress releiver, because your national team is not involved, just watch the strokes, the 6s, the 4s, the runouts, the classic catches, enjoy it. Dont make a fuss about it. Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani was the one who started to know the strength of the population India has, and planned his business in a such a way. Now the francishers are learning to utilise the Indian population. There is no harm, everyone knows this is business, we are not idiots Mr.Lalit Modi, if you tell that you are developing the game of cricket (you are a fool if you feel so). For some cricketers its a chance to prove their skills for the Team India, for the rest, its a earning paradise, for us its a time pass, its entertainment.

my friend as you said IPL is a domastic even and our govt can't give security to it and we have to shift it to other country.... look whats happening in our country... our govt earned more then 91 crore in taxes and almost more then 100 crore in from it in other things and for security we have to spend only 2 crore which we can afford and now the other country will get it and they will happily host it for the sake of money, name and fame which we lost......
