Hey guys. You seem to have taken my negative comments on Sachin very seriously. I am an unabashed fan of Sachin. Was just trying to get more views on the great champion. My heart sinks with each failure of his and soars with each of his great knocks. Sorry Ashwin, I have really irked you with my comments. But my only advise is we shouldn't carry our emotions up our sleeves. Sachin is not a person who gets belittled by any of the negativities that people spread about him. True he has had his ups and down throughout his glittering career. May be at times he would have given many of us the feeling the he puts himself before the team's interests. But thats the price one pays for being such a superb champion and human being. May be lesser mortals like may not even understand the pressure on him every time he comes on to bat. Anybody in his place would have succumbed to the pressure. But the true champion that he is he has borne it all with great fortitude. It was real fun getting your views. Some of you have used some very good stinkers. Thanks for all that. I had all of them coming for being so uncharitable to my sporting icon. Good night.
How naive are we Indians? I am quite amazed. We are making a god of an ordinary human being. Sachin is at best a cricketer of average talent but having loads of luck. Its our hunger for superheroes that really gets reflected in our blind worship of sachin. Come on guys grow up.

I don't know anyone who literally thinks him God. You obviously need some luck to succeed. But, talent still shines! First of all, you need to come out of your shell and grow up to appreciate what he has achieved.

did you learn your cricket from the movie "Victory". maybe Harman Baweja is your idea of a talented cricketer. Nobody is making him a god but recognize greatness instead of trying to pull it down.
160 from 260 balls is not great knock. If Sehwag was not out, it could have 160 from 160 balls because he plays hook,flicks,ondrives,pull shots all over onside. Tendulkar left lot of balls that could had been hit in the form of pull shots, hooks, ondrives etc. Sehwag is great.

Great analysis. you should have been there instead of Sachin. You could have hit the ball all over onsite as you say and scored 160 off 100 balls. it is another thing that you would have got out 60 times in the remaining 60 balls. absurd comment. strike rates dont make a test innings great. a strike rate of 60 (i.e around 4 per over) in test cricket is supposed to be excellent and this was placed on a pitch where the ball was holding up

Test Cricket is all about leaving balls and hitting the bad ones my friend, there are many balls on tv u think could have been hit but they aren't. Easy to say something like this but the fact remains Sehwag was not there he couldn't survive and Sachin did this is like saying if my bua had a moustache I would have had a chacha!!!

These are two players with different temperament and different level of game. Not comparable. Sachin is Greatest of All time...other is part-time great!

UPA govt is upset that Pakis can not play in IPL!!!!!!! Cong /UPA May loose minority vote!!!!
UPA is trying hard to stop IPL as Pakis are not playing and also Pakis created problem for Srilanka attack so that IPL stops as they would not be allowed to play in IPL after 26/11!!!!!! Simple isn't it!!!!!!!!!

"Sachin Tendulkar" is a name of confidence in cricket world. This name will be used as 'Brand' of Indian Cricket in the world. He is the person who shows improvement in each game, he plays. He is an expert in his field. Some of his features of his attatude. * Avoid critisizing other players * Respect game and captain's decision. * Be away from media hypes * Prove his point by action and not by mouth Parents can give his example to teach kids as an expert and good human being.
Folks, Posted this earlier. Enjoy Sachin, his batting and his general enthusiasm to the game cricket and stop cribbing about anything you can find critical about him. The world and many of the former greats has recognized him for the one of the top cricketers of all time . Dont think any cricketer from India (even Kapil and Gavaskar) had won such universal acclaim. Lets stop comparing him to the top cricketer of that particular year, month and even day (right from Ponting to Kambli:)) and look at the kind of career he has had. Few of us can even dream to achieve the kind of success he has had in any of our professions and remain so rooted to his roots. Enjoy the last 2-3 years of his career as cricket will have a big void after his departure. he is still good enough to walk into most folks world teams and we are lucky to have someone like him playing for India.

Don't think so. Dhoni is leading from the front and is playing according to situations. Dhoni supported Sachin superbly. Zaheer had nothing to lose. So, he can make runs as long as he is lucky. Remember, partnerships count in Test cricket not just individual scores.
