2 Pointless and useless innings!!!
by Billu Plumber on Mar 19, 2009 01:46 AM  | Hide replies

Vettori and Jesse played two boring innings that have only prolonged their own misery. I mean, come on, whats the point of those centuries? They are not gonna help the Kiwis at all.

NZ score can be 172..if there were no catch drop or missed runout chances...
NZ were 60-6 at one time..

Exactly. The title does not make sense, it's as if the guy who came up with the title never looked at what happened during the match. A appropriate title would have been, "Fighting Kiwis end up at 279" or something like that or "Advantage lost - India".

pitch eased up after initial bite and sting...but we still could have bowled better..anyway last time in NZ we were in similar situation like how NZ was today so feels good to give them a dose of their own medicine

This is good balanced Indian team
by Calspadeaspade on Mar 18, 2009 07:35 PM  | Hide replies

I am glad Dravid and VVS are there. Sachin , Shewag , VVS and Dravid are experienced test players while Gambir, Dhoni and Yuvi are slowly
infused into the team with the senior's backing.Wish them success. I feel more confident now.

Dhoni's captaincy leaves a lot to be desired. In the morning session wickets fell just like that.No captaincy involved. After lunch why did not Dhoni attack with Ishant and Zaheer with a 4 slip cordon. He failed miserably to go in for the kill.Sorry, but Dhoni does not measure up as an astute captain. And he kept the great Bhajan one, whose bowling was plain boring.NZ escaped thanks to Dhoni.

Just because pace worked in the morning does not mean it was going to work in the afternoon with old ball. The pitch had dried up. This was supposed to be a batting pitch. Give credit to Dhoni for assessing the pitch and opting to field . If Indians had opted to bat , they would have faced the same fate as NZ. If You thought Indians were going to round them up for 100, you are naive.Vittori and Ryder came late to take care of a situation like this.

Wow, you are a predictor! Do you charge for your astrology services as you are quick to point to Kumble and Ganguly! Ganguly is by far the best captain as records speak! Every players are unique , so don't compare wach other!
If you compare yourself with anybody else, you are actually degrading yourself, So stop doing it!

I wish he will play his own game and prove Greg Chappel wrong.
He has extraordinary talent and he dosn't need any coaching.

Sanjay are you supporting Greg Chappel?? Buddy, this Australian guy tried to split the team into 3-4 parts. This has been confirmed by Sachin, Yuvi, Bhajji, Lakshman. Don't try to support a foreigner without a reason, as we Indians have the bad habit to pray for Gori Chamdi!
Remember Greg Chappel showing his middle finger to the Indian fans!
He showed it to you, me and all the Indians, mind you!
It's disgusting when people like you show their interest in licking a foreigner's ass without a reason!
