Security in Karnataka
by Shyam Sunder on Mar 13, 2009 07:58 PM

Mr Commissioner will not give security to women in Karnataka, he will not provide security after midnight and will clamp down on everybody trying to have fun, will not provide security for sports events, then what will he provide security for -- Politicians and Underworld ?? The polling in Karnataka is for 2 days, not for 60 days !!! Amazed at the kind of statements made by these commissioners and Govt..

We must respect our national obligations
by Anthony Raj on Mar 13, 2009 11:38 AM  | Hide replies

We must give priority to our election poll first. I'm too crazy abt cricket. But if we want cricket to go on in India unlike pakistan, we must avoid IPL second season. Otherwise terrorist will make sure no cricket is played in India henceforth. It's very good opportunity for them to attack anywhere anybody in India.

Understand they need not target players, even if they target people in India, it may influence something bad for cricket play in India in future.

DOMESTIC TOURNAMENT
by abshu on Mar 13, 2009 11:37 AM  | Hide replies

By definition the IPL is a domestic tournament is of the BCCI and is not dependent upon foreign players.
Just take the case of RANJI TROPHY.There is not much security at ranji trophy matches.
So where arises the need to give preferential treatment to IPL.
Also the BCCI should be compelled to give 20 percent of its proceeds to the pilice and other para military forces if it wants high level security.
The police force is not a servant of these cricketers that will guard these cricketers free of cost.
It is like calling police to protect your private functions.

Whom are they fearing? The answer is: People from with in the country. They happily allowed it to grow and now are apprehensive of a safely conducting a sporting event.

they want IPL, irrespective of security .
they want WC 2011 ireespective of consequences.
basically they are greedy and money minded. they care least about players and spectators life.

Whether you pay or not neither it makes difference to India's health not IPL's. The show will go on...
