Gavaskar and co targetted him for his lack of footwork (inspite of his consistency) and ensured he was out. I thought he was good and was somewhat like Sehwag in test matches - an unconventional and quick scorer.

Sadagopan Ramesh performed very well in the few matches, he was given the opportunity, just as Praveen Kumar. He was certainly better than

S. Ramesh was a classy player...he could take off the shine of new ball in test matches...but I don't think ODI was his kind of game.

dont compare Ramesh to Dhoni & co. no doubt he was a good player but not a classy player aur spelling bhi sudhar
I dont know why rediff is posting such an article, when cricket is an uncertain game as anything could happen. It looks too hyping the Indian team at moment.A wait for a day or so will tell the result. Useless predictions!!!

This is at present the best team. If Ravindra Jadeja is included in place of Tendulkar, then this will be much more stronger.
This news only for sehwang, Kiwi captian and all plyers afraid him, because of his batting performance. but In india and others only speak, when tendulkar take fifty..this is big.., when dravide take 100, this is big. Poor sehwang in indian crickets or indian, you are nothing front of them.....
I heard some comments that Mr Modi, Mallya, Preity, Shahrukh just want to make money & that is their only interest. What double standards are you people applying? Formula1, NBA, NFL, Grand slam tennis, boxing, EPL which is internationally acclaimed & appreciated by you. That is also just about money & nothing else. Has anyone tried to see the better side of IPL?

The sportsmen win with their talent. These people invest money and look for profits.
Kindly check mistakes before you publish your crap:- Reference: (1) and they can push for the series-victory in the last two matches without a more relaxed approach.... shouldn't it be WITH more relaxed approach. (2) Sehwag is in red-hot form and has already logged two half centuries (77 and 54) in the series and India will loom to him for yet another explosive start. .... eh... what is LOOM to him!!!

i hate your name, but your points are valid. Rediff lacks an editor who knows how best to use English language.
It is not enough to blast kiwi bowlers for the first ten overs but sehwag should remain at the crease for at least twent overs to ensure big total and frustate them and ensure victory. So should others do it. Prakash

by not loosing ur opening wicket for a stand of atleast 15 overs will do everything for india.., dont expect shewg till the end., that is too much.. by the way even he cannot play the shots throughtout.. thats the fact u need to undersatnd..
