terror attack on cricketers
by suryanarayanan ramesh on Mar 04, 2009 07:42 AM

It is quite surprising to hear Javed Miandad comments that "for the terror atrocities,blam-
ng Pakistan is not justfiable" He said "terrorism is a Global problem" & V do agree with his statement. But at the same time, Pakistanis is aware of well terrorism is daily part of life elsewhere in Pakistan & it starts from Pakistan only no doubt whatever may be reason.

More than that, one of the Pak minister has blamed India for this ghastly incident what has happened yesterday is the joke of the year & clearly it shows Pak Ministers Lacks vision & simply put the blame on Indians.

Come, what may, India is the finest Neighbour to any country in all activities. Only the foreign elements R creating problems here. Let the government take immediate action to send them to pack-off.

PATRIOTIC CITIZEN

ramchandra Guha says he is horrified as cricketers were attacked although they were "unpolitical" figures. I think he is missing the point. Nobody has the right to kill even a "political" person. If attacking Sachin tendulkar wth AK 47 weapons are a crime, then it is an equal crime to attack Sonia Gandhi with such a weapon. It is not correct to condemn this incident because cricketers were attacked but we have to condemn the incident as human beibngs were attacked. A cricketer is same as any other human being persuing any other profession.

Why do people don't get the complete picture. Guha didn't say what you are interpreting. He said, why cricketers for what they are - 'unpolitical', which he says 'defies the rationale'. He says when its political may be their (terrorists') cause is justified, he did not justify. For a common man it sounds illogical that someone would attack cricketers/sportsmen in this case Srilankans???

Pakistan Stripped of innocence
by Prasanna Bandihole on Mar 04, 2009 07:28 AM

This clearly shows the case of tail (ISI/Pak ,military) wagging the Dog (Pak Gov).
The gov is just a puppet made to dance at the hands of ISI. Pakistan can't claim innocence whatsover after this attack.
If US stop non-military aid for one month to Pakistan, they will be decimated from the face of the earth!

If the ICC and the UN have any shame....

If the ICC and the UN have any shame....
They should ban Pakistan from all sporting, cultural and world events.

If you could ban South Africa for apartheid/racism, why not do the same for Pakistan?
Why, only white people cannot practice racism or communalism or terrorism?
What is happening to Zimbabwe?

Please forward this to ICC and UN, my fellow readers and take this to the bank with you!~

Srilanka's visit was political too....
by B M on Mar 04, 2009 07:14 AM  | Hide replies

The author is WRONG in saying that Srilanka's visit was a non-political gentleman like act. The then Sri Lanka cricket chief Ranatunga's acrimony towards BCCI us well known and the real intention of hurriedly fixing this tour was to snub BCCI and not a non-political move as the author suggests!
