Didnt u read Sunil Gavaskar's comments after the retirement of Kumble & Ganguly that Ganguly is not a great test batsmen and he further added that Ganguly will not be missed at all and India should look more towards fullfilling the berth left by Anil Kumble.

And as it is When Ganguly played in One dayers india was losing, Australia came to India and played one dayers and india lost, Pakistan lost to India Ganguly couldnt face 2 fit fast bowlers while opening and has single digits scores in that series, ditto in Ireland, scored a 72 against Ireland but against South Africa in 3 matches Ganguly couldnt do anything. And once he was sacked India won the triangular in Australia and after that India has been a force to reckon with. So Gavaskar rightly said he wont be missed at all.

Keep them till the next series.
by funnnnny on Mar 02, 2009 03:50 PM

BCCI, Please keep the team in NZ, till the next series, to acclimatize with the conditions by turning out for domestic teams of New Zealand in the state championship. I am sure, money will not be a metter of concern for you and the NZ Board and Govt will
approve it and Team India may win all matches.

Dravid and Tenulkar
by hemanth kumar on Mar 02, 2009 03:11 PM

The Indians may have struggled in the Twenty20s against New Zealand but that does not mean all of them will find the tour an uphill task. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid will certainly be expected to make runs almost like they always

Dravid transformed Royal Challengers to Royal Staggers

Dravid transformed Royal Challengers to Royal Staggers. It is better that he should appear in test only.

Ya u r right, Ganguly only liked Dalmiya's butt till he was in power and use to lick it. That is why Dalmiya allowed him to play TEST Cricket for 10 years, even though Ganguly scored heavily only against weak teams in those 10 years and against Australia, SA, Pak, WI he averaged 27, 28 etc.

So we know how Ganguly remained in the TEST side for so long.

Ganguly & Dravid Both are great players.
