Recently the football coach of india made a comment that Indian footballl will always be number 147 if the ignorance continues.

'Even after 100 years, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal don't have a training ground. There is not a single proper training ground in the country. You can bring in Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink but you will still remain 147th in the FIFA rankings if you don't have the infrastructure

Nobody besides the subcontinentt cares about cricket.
by Hindustani on Jun 23, 2009 10:59 AM  | Hide replies

Nobody besides the subcontinentt cares about cricket. T20 cup was played in England and it hardly got any mention in their media while the england was in super 8's. Neither do countries like SA and Australia care as they have others sports like football and rugby. As it South africans are busy organising for the soccer world cup which is gonna to be played on their land.

I think, what the ICC has done is only pick the world T20 dream players from the semi finalists teams, which is not fair !!
They have also not picked up any australian in their dream team, which is so absurd. Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Bret Lee deserve to be in the dream team.

based on current form , he cn replace gayle. dilshan is more consistent than gayle or sehwag, whether it is IPL of WC, he did consistently.

Why cry about T20 loss? Relish the wins of boxers and Saina
by anand ganesh on Jun 23, 2009 10:36 AM  | Hide replies

Cricket is not an Olympic sport. So,a win only means u are best among 12 nations.
Boxing and Badminton are Olympic sports and played in large no.of countries. This attitude of giving more publicity to T20 cricket loss than wins in Olympic sports is unfortunate

He is one of the best T20 player globally. Indian prime players should stop playing Indian Premier league which is damaging their cricket.

cricket no competition sport
by elton on Jun 23, 2009 10:22 AM

we all know there are only 5 nations playing seroius cicket. viz india, pak, srilanka, south africa &australia. rest of the nations play only for time pass...so IPL without pakistan players has no flavour..spending so much on England, newzealand, west indies players is foolishness n ridiculous. now india will win againt WI and dance..which has become so weak and is no different from Ireland and other minows.
IPL sponsors should make IPL competitive by including more pakistani players and removing english and WI players..
