Pakistanis pray sincerely for the success of their players. The country is facing many challenges and mental trauma since long but the courage of the player displayed how patriotic the people of this country are. The team has Pathans like Afridi, Younis and Gul. Balochis like Razzak, Punjabis like Akmal, Aamir, Shoaib Malik and Misbah and from Karachi Shazaib and Fawad...The team shows perfect Pakistani representation!!

Indians bark we bite. Indians talk big Pakistan delivers.

India has won the T20 WC....pak is yet to. India has won all the matches against pak in a world cup (50 overs and 20). These are the facts.

mike for your information except for 20: 20, Pakistan has won more tests and one days against India.

India won the 1st 20: 20 by luck, It did not even qualify in the last 50:50 world cup. If you have any doubts about our Junoon remember Miandad's last ball six

see Iam you are perfectly right, the reason Pakistan is so effective is because we have learnt from our mistakes. Shoiab was banned for his misbehaviour. Has anything like this happened to Indian players.

We lost the warm up match but see we are in the finals. You guys lost continously against West Indies, England and S.A. YOu guys never want to learn and talk big about cricket.

More money doesnt make a great team for a great team you need junoon. REmember Pakistan has won the 50:50 world cup once even though we have poor infrastructure

Javed,

You are absolutely right! Indians bark, and you bite. Mumbai 26/11 is an example of that.

But, do remember. Gentlemen shout at the dogs when they bark, they don't bite back, when they bite. When it becomes unbearable, they simply shoot down the dog.

Pakistan is just half the country it was at independence, and it seems Pakistan is hell bent on becoming less than quarter of its original size.

Pride has its place. Your team played well. But, its a stupid game only we sub-continentals value, and we all loose sometime or other.

But, lets hope Pakistan wins where it matters the most. Becoming a self-respecting, civil country, instead of being an international Migraine and a 'Begger extraordinaire', being ruled (directly or Indirectly) by a junta all the time.

in 2007 world cup, some shite team lost against Ireland and was knocked out of the world cup.
Their coach was murdered by the team members.
In 2009, they couldn't protect a Srilankan team coming to play for a series. So the country was banned from hosting matches...so poor

Guess which team ? No prizes for guessing !!

Javed, what are you counting man. Do you remember super bowl over in group match in last T20 World Cup, or do you remember Sreesanth catch of Misbah-Ul-Haq.

Yes Pakistan might be ahead Head to Head in oneday and test series but that time is gone. No Imran, No Wasim, No Waqar,No Mian, No Izaz, No Inzy. On todays date India can challenge Pakistan anytime and beat them at will.

Better stay off from India. Pakistan is unpredictable team, they proved it yesterday and being favorite they will prove it once again in Final. I am sure Srilanka or West Indies both will thrash Pakistan.

They have killed many civilians who had blood relations with Indians. More over killing innocent ppl/their own country men, by a state govt is the dreadful thing that can one imagine,1000 times bad than a terrorist attack.

Boom Boom Afridi
by Kumar Chakraborthy on Jun 19, 2009 01:23 PM

Afridi is class of his own. Whatever he does in the cricket field is striking. Don't forget the girls are mad over Afridi all over the world. He blossomed under Wasim Akram. Other captains couldn't handle him properly. Yesterday Younis khan made the right choice of sending him ahead and he delivered the goods. His bowling and fielding has improved a lot in the last couple of years. He can be picked into any team as genuince spinner and world class fielder. His batting is a bonus. More to come from Afridi. If he can put in another sterling performance in the final Pakistan are hoime & dry. He is a sure candidate for the Man of the series. Look at the catch he took in the earlier match. One of the best running catches in Cricket history. Sharukh Khan will be very proud of Afridi. Hope he can rope in Afridi for Kol. Knight Riders.

Things to learn from Pak
by Moderator on Jun 19, 2009 01:12 PM  | Hide replies

If there is something indians can learn from Pak it's their Cricket.
1) Most of the pakistan players are from not from urban background. But in India barring few thr is not much exposure for cricketers who are not from cities..
2) Time and again they have produced world class pacers. our indian speedsters don't stand a match to them. Leave alone akram, waqar, gul, imran, akthar, asif...even razzaq is better than most indian bowlers...

Though Pak as a nation we tend to hate, we can't but enjoy their brand of cricket..After Sachin i am grt fan of Akram....
