Money betting
by Hari Sahu on Jun 20, 2009 05:56 PM

the way Indian team played, just seemed as if they are playing to lose the game (intentionally), especially Dhoni, both as a captain and as a player. It can be assumed that lot of money has been betted in favor of Team India, and to save those money, Indian team intentionally lost the games.

Anutosh....is right. when we compared the last year wining team and the present team the current team is very strong but again on paper, these useless creators were over confident . we defintely missed virender, robin, sreesanth.

Kick Ishant Sharma out of Indian team. He is feeding on his success in Australia some 20 years back(pun intended).

new induction of one jedeja who wasted lot of balls because of inexperience and doni and selectors try to defend thier action as a real cricket player and closely monitered the match sais jedeja occupaid more than 25% of balls and not even produced 16% of runs in this crucial match whatever yuvi dhoni and thehill like yousuf pathan did that ended in vain we should not try jadeja in match like this and his strokes are not firm yousuf patan should be sent earlier and these test pieses should sent at last but what is the use of these postmarum reports then that will be our routiene

jsut don't say absence of viru because he was not there in this failed team. viru himself had a worst time in IPL in batting and would have maybe failed too in this tournament....so speculation abt someon'e absense affecting the team should be avoided as an excuse for failure.

Big Deal
by ameya mithe on Jun 20, 2009 04:15 PM  | Hide replies

when we criticize the indian team for being gud for nothing and dhoni being a pathetic captain, why do we always forget that the same team and the same captain had one the world cup 2 years ago and since then have constanly being achieving things wich we have never done like beating australia and new zealand in their own country. We onli take into acount the loss of one tournament.......i agree the success might have gone into their head and this loss will get the team back on the ground but that doesnt mean that the team is pathetic and the captain is good for nothing.

yes the same team under the captaincy of dhoni won the last world cup and other imp tours. But still dhoni didnt do much as a captain. it was all collective efforts by players and some luck.

INDIA WAS TOO DEFENSIVE TO DEFEND T20 CUP THIS TIME...
by vishes agarwal on Jun 20, 2009 04:06 PM  | Hide replies

The factors which let dhoni' down are:-

1. The policy of being defensive, last world cup india used to start their bowling with main bowlers and also completed there spells there by.

2. The Sehwag factor, if bcci was aware of sehwag's fitness then he musn't be selected.

3. The batting line up. Dhoni saved his key players and used a very crap batting order.

4. The lack of confidence. Last world cup we had theme of Chak de india..

5. Dhoni overated himself and is always defensive in his batting approach, so what other players will learn from captian.

6. Atlast, IPL tired stuff let india down
