MSD is more successful than Kapil as a captain. Saurav Ganguly & MSD are the best captains India has produced!

The game has changed a lot between 1980s and in the 21st century. It would be bad to compare the options available for Kapil and to Saurav/Dhoni. Kapil did at sometimes take the team all alone to success.
By the 1990s the entire cricketing world changed and the Indian team started becoming more balanced with respect to bowlers and batsmen. We had greats coming up, whose greatness could be shown in the stats. But wat was missing was a confidence factor / feraless attitude. We crushed weak teams and had occasional days of our own with less consistency. Then it was the days of australian supremacy. Saurav should be considered as a great captain for his fearless nature and the way he made the team feel that anything's possible.
Dhoni...NO COMMENTS!!!!!!! He came as an explosive batman and now in the most explosive format of cricket, He is playing test cricket. In IPL too he was never playing risky shots, which is part of this format of cricket. OK what he did no outside the field, I appreciate it as an act of show-casing the unity of team.
Dhoni might not score more runs But He know how to make others play and win the match . India needs victory may be in any form and Dhoni has done excellent job handling this. wheras sachin dont give others chance and always wants to score himself in every match

Dhoni has given effort by encouraging his team members. If Captain is selfish then Team cannot win. Handling captaincy with care is also a great achivement. Only playing for self is waste thing. Bringing confidence and Handling pressure is very important. Dhoni has done this and not like your second category.

What is captaincy? Is it a object? People playing at international level or working at higher level do need encouragement. It is all rubbish.

sachin opens in odi and scores an hundred: reactions: very easy to open in odi.
sachin bats 2nd down in tests and scores hundred: reactions:afraid so he does not open.
sachin while chasing 250 scores 90: reactions: scores only while chasing low totals
sachin bats first and scores hundred: reactions: can not bat while chasing.
sachin twice becomes top scorer in two world cups reactions :anyway he has ot won a world cup
sachin has got 55 man of match awards reactions: he did not deserve it
sachin scores hundred against bangladesh reactions: useless
sachin fails against bangladesh in league match: useless.
sachin scores hundreds: useless, he scores century n cb series finals( which no player from pak,westindies,southafrica,newzealand,srilanka has never done) useless, he scores batting first or second: useless,he is humble useless
but lara great ( scores 400 in 3 days but not selfish,has not performed to half of sachin in world cups but great, has not won half of matches what sachin won but great)
all players in the world who play once in a blue moon are great.gilchrist,hayden are not selfish even though they retired at age of 37yrs.kapil is the ultimate who played for 3 yrs so pathetically just to beat hadleys record but heis great.jayasuria is the best player in the world even though he has played miserably in foreign tours, average test record and still playing age of 40yrs but he is not selfish. ranatunga, deseilva , steve waugh all are

sachin does not play well in critical situations?
a) he does not play well in finals: but he has got an average of nearly 50 in odi finals. reactions: ok then playing finals is not a critical situation.
b) he does not play well while chasing: but he has got an average of 45 while chasing ok then chasing is not a critical situation.
c) worldcup is the critical situation: but twice he top scored and even in 96 semis he scored 65 .ok then that is also not a critical situation.
d)he does not bat well in 4th innings that is the critical situation; but he has scored 3 cetnturies at a avg of 35 which is only nest to ponting,dravid,smith ok then that is also not a critical situation
so what is the critical situation? answer is sachin has to come at 5 for 5 while chasing 350 and then should score 175 not out correct no? gilchrist in ipl semis was a critical situation but sachin against pak was not critical.
2003 world cup after humiliating loss to aussie when whole india was agitated sachin not even the captain spoke to media and then took india to finals bt that is also not critical.
cb series finals was not critical,centuries against aussie are not critical.out of 20odi wins in the last 10yrs against aus sachin 11 man of match awards all are not critical.
evrey time in 90s in test matches when sachin used to bat in test matches they were all not critical( scores always 2 for 2). dhaka finals sachin , herocup semifinals not critical.so what is critical? wh
What is Forrest Gump's opinions about this?? Why is it that MS Dhoni is no longer seen as captain cool?? Is it that there is indeed a rift between MSD and Sehwag and that Dhoni always has his way, has now leaked out to the media??
Guys let Dhoni and company be. Lets encourage them to bring the cup back.They have outperformed all records in the past few months so give all of them a break.You have one in a million captain so stop calling him names, He deserves all that he gets.
