The main reason is thatT20 is basically the slam bang type of cricket, which is more popular in north India. Anyway, may the best 'Indian' team be chosen everytime.....irrespective of where they belong. This trait was first introduced in Indian cricket in a big way by Ganguly when he was captain.
This rediff has gone mad... they are doing this for cheap publicity...instead they can beg around for money...Go..Rediff..Go and beg for money.. my contribution is 1 rupee...

It is India and the best XI plays. Hasn't Srikkanth & co proved that they mean business. What difference does it make whether a region is represented or not.
Because this article talks about the non presence of SOuth Indians in the team, this has been removed immediately after a few people asked to remove it. A similar article was on Rediff a few days ago about the bonanza for South in ministerial berths and all the North Indians here were abusing Southies. Even though a lot of people asked the article to be removed, it was not and continued to exist on the main page for a few weeks. You can see the difference for yourselves.
Next Rediff will be coming with another article- why there are no christians in the team, why there are no Kshatriyas in the team and why there are no Kurmis in the team. Bravo Rediff Bravo
NORTHERN STATES DON'T BELIEVE IN CONTROLLING POPULATION. HOWEVER SOUTHERNERS HAVE BEEN DOING SO SINCE LONG AND THAT IS WHY NOW WE SOUTHERNER'S ARE HIT VERY BADLY. Right...Government should ban use of contraceptives in south and roll out an incentive scheme for promoting birth of more children....Mr.Menon will be the health minister for south rolling out this scheme
